Having 1k followers on LinkedIn is not a flex anymore. Things have changed. 👇

The platform jumped from 1.2B → 1.3B members in ~5 months.

More users = More content = More noise = Harder to differentiate

LinkedIn is "mainstreaming."

Content gets simplified.

From Professional & Educational.
To Cringe & Situational.

Also, the follower count is not the only important metric.

Engagement > Followers

Sponsors want to know about:
– Impressions
– Engagement
– Audience structure
– CTRs
– CPM

If you want to grow, earn attention before you teach.

You can still be educational, but in a different way.

Education still works, but packaged as infotainment with insights.

Everybody on the platform...

Normally, I’d say “Good luck.”

But in this case:

Observe, experiment, and adjust.

Please. I ask you, no, I beg you wholeheartedly.

Don’t use those AI-generated slop comments.

The problem is that AI often:
– Fully or largely replicates existing text without adding anything new.
– Adds completely pointless things, like a two-line comment followed by “✨✨✨✨🚀”.
– Writes extremely long comments that no one has time to read.

When you don’t have anything to say, just stay quiet.
Sometimes, silence is gold. 😀

And when you do want to comment:
→ Say something constructive.
→ Be funny or speak from your own experience.
→ And yes, you can use AI, but ideally only to polish your grammar. I use it too.

Okay. Calming down my adrenaline and dopamine levels now.

Back to work. (And meaningful commenting.)
