I know we love to joke-complain about LinkedIn signal to noise ratio, but all in all, it's now my go to professional platform to share and learn about the latest search trends, insights and resources! I've just reached the 120K followers here, and although I have almost 180K in X, the relevance and engagement I see here is certainly higher... if you had asked me 3 years ago or so, it would have been the other way around!

So thank you for following me over here, despite this platform's challenges, it's certainly a much better alternative to anything else out there professional wise. Looking forward to share much more over here 🙌😎

🤖 Do AI Assistants Actually Render Your JavaScript when Grounding? Andre Alpar Put It to Test: The result? It’s not good 👇

* US AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, Meta AI) read raw HTML only

* Chinese assistants (DeepSeek, ERNIE, Qwen, Kimi) and Mistral render JavaScript.

Most US systems requested only the HTML. They never even pulled the script file. But two cases sit in the grey zone between “reads text” and “runs code”.

The most uncomfortable lesson has nothing to do with rendering. It is about trust.

* Self-reports are unreliable. Perplexity told in chat that it “couldn’t access” the page — while its own crawler had already fetched that exact page and received an HTTP 200.

* The pipeline and the answer can disagree. Grok proved a system can run your JavaScript and still answer from the raw HTML.

* When you want to know what an AI actually did with your page, trust the server log, never the chatbot’s description of itself.

If your important content is injected by JavaScript — client-side frameworks, lazy-loaded sections, content behind tabs that hydrate on load — then for ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Copilot, that content effectively does not exist.

🤖 I’m so excited to finally share this: Crawling Mondays: The AI Search Roadmap Series is launching this July 2026! 👇

AI Search is evolving fast, and with it, a lot of confusion, myths, oversimplifications, and “magic tricks” that are not really strategic or sustainable.

That’s why I'm creating a practical video series to go step by step through what actually matters when optimizing for AI Search: from research and strategy to content, technical optimization, authority, measurement, ecommerce, publishers, agentic search, workflows, and more.

I’ll be joined by an amazing group of SEO specialist guests to cover each topic with real experience, actionable insights, and no fluff.

Including: Mark Williams-Cook, Lily Ray, Roxana Stingu, Tom Capper, Judith Lewis, Jordan Koene, 📱 Cindy Krum, Yagmur Simsek, Tory Gray, Samantha Torres, Jamie Indigo, Myriam Jessier, Raymond Martinez, Bengü Sarıca Dinçer, Kevin Indig, Lazarina Stoy, Barry Adams, Jono Alderson, Bastian Grimm, Dan Taylor, Chris Green, Mordy Oberstein, Harry Clarkson-Bennett, Celeste Gonzalez, Anthony Barone, Dave Peiris, Gianluca Fiorelli... and more!

Across the series, we’ll go through:

🔎 What AI Search Optimization really is, and what it isn’t
🧭 How to do AI Search audience, journey, and prompt research
🎯 How to define AI Search goals and build a strategy
💬 How to communicate and sell AI Search to decision makers
🧱 Content, technical, brand, entity, and source authority optimization
📊 How to measure visibility, impact, and success
🤝 How to coordinate AI Search across marketing teams
⚠️ What not to do: spam, myths, and risky tactics
🛒 Ecommerce, agentic commerce, publishers, agentic search, and scalable AI workflows

My goal with this series is simple: help SEOs and marketers build a clearer, more actionable, and more business-oriented AI Search roadmap.

Thanks Similarweb for your kind sponsorship 💪

🌍 When you ask an AI assistant a question in Spanish or French and it answers in that language: Are the sources behind that answer localized or in English?

I analyzed 43,513 prompt weighted citation occurrences across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Mode for three brands in marketing SaaS, payments and gaming, covering Spain, Argentina, France and the US.

Here's what the language data showed:

* Across the non-English markets, Gemini had the strongest "same language" citation share: approximately 77%, compared with 52% for ChatGPT and 53% for AI Mode when averaging each brand market dataset equally.

* The split was largely binary: citations came from either the market's language or English. Other languages were non-existent.

* The surrounding web content ecosystem had an important influence: the brands that achieved stronger localization on ChatGPT than others were supported by a deeper ecosystem of local publications and communities, but this wasn't consistent across every platform, so it's a signal, not proof that vertical alone determines localization.

So even if you've heard that AI answers come mostly from English sources regardless of the language used... that's certainly not always the case anymore, and it doesn't mean you shouldn't optimize your content across languages! It also shows why it's fundamental to measure separately by platform, market, language and source ownership.

What does ChatGPT search for when someone asks about your brand? 👀
MJ Cachón Yáñez analyzed 189 branded prompts across 723 GPT-5.5 runs, identifying 1,797 fan-out subqueries:

* 10.3 distinct subqueries per prompt across 4 runs
* 93.4% included the brand
* 30.2% used site:
* 23.8% used exact-match quotes
* 10.1% investigated reputation and trust
* Only 0.8% mentioned competitors

The typical sequence: ask broadly > narrow to a domain > verify exact claims > reformulate if needed.

A great reminder that indexability, clear corporate information, consistency, freshness, official profiles, reputation and migration hygiene all influence branded AI visibility.
