Survived the whole week of 4-5 hours of sleep!

I will not lie but the rigor at IIM C has started and it’s driving me crazy. So crazy that finally I have realised- I am doing an MBAšŸ˜….
Before coming to IIM C, I even in my dreams had not thought of surviving the whole week with 4-5 hours of sleep. The list of things we have to do is definitely a long one ranging from surprise quizzes to Mid-Term exams coming soon. I realised the importance of weekends which we don’t have here. I always try to come to LinkedIn whenever I find time which is also very rare. The best part of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta is the cohort, be it the seniors or the batchmates- The Best!

Coming to the month of July, I realised that we have entered into the other half of the year 2024, there is still a lot to do before the year ends and one of them is cracking CAT for a lot of people. I received a lot of messages sharing the anxiety about CAT coming closer šŸ‘æ. It’s like losing motivation just before the exams. Hold on, the list is long but at this time, I faced a lot of FOMO of not practising according to some ā€œset standardsā€, not been able to perform in Mocks as my peers did, that feeling that my peers are way better than me so I should leave this, I might be left behind, basically to SUM IT UP- A lot of us maybe at the position of intense stress and giving it all up!!!
Now, listen to the reality, this is the time when you have to buckle it up and avoid comparing yourself with others. What worked for me might not even work 1% for you, take all the possible ways in which you can practise and figure your own way out!! If you are doing something different does not mean that you are wrong! You must prepare your own strategy of attempting the CAT!!

You can definitely try some of the things which helped me to stay motivated: -
1. Take a notebook and write your daily goals on a daily basis, don’t use the Excel for the same, because when you write it yourself your brain remembers it and it strives for its best to complete the things you listed!
2. Remove your distractions, for me it was my phone, most of the time I kept it off.
3. This is the important one- DON’T GET ATTACHED TO MOCKS’ MARKS, I keep repeating this, I lost a lot of time in cribbing about my low marks in the mocks.

I know it’s getting difficult and take my word, it’s even more difficult afterwards (Don’t ask about it now, you will slowly get the first-hand experience, which is the BEST!!).
I will share all the possible combinations of attempting papers in my coming posts!
When I was joining IIM C, I did not find much content of IIM C on YouTube, so a few weeks back I started with my YouTube channel, will be really grateful if you all can give me feedback, be it good or bad. Please support by subscribing and sharing the videos.
