I ugly cried today. And yes I need a virtual hug.
On Tuesday I woke up to a dead laptop. I had to shove that anxiety deep down inside and smile for the camera for 3 hours for our photo shoot (which was a BLAST - Jackie Lauricella-Perry absolutely NAILED IT!)
But when it was over the full body dread stared to creep in (props to Courtney Vigil for calmly allowing us to rearrange our day to head to the Apple Store and confirm end of life) ☠️
Luckily, in 2024 whilst recording with 🔐 Jeremy Dodson 💻 for his podcast, he convinced me I MUST have an Apple Vision Pro …so I asked everyone for Apple gift cards for my birthday.
One month later I was part of the 6th round of layoffs in 9 months.
That was the EXACT moment I decided to go all in on myself (although I had been preparing for this moment for some time!)
I never even looked at the job market. And I quickly decided those gift cards would need to be saved for when one of my many (critical to my business) Apple devices sh1ts the bed. Virtual life could wait 😆

Shipping times are pretty sad with Apple right now which means I’m looking to be without a laptop for at least a week, 2 at the worst.
And that gives me HIVES.
And yet I can talk to Claude, I now literally have a phone number I can give people to schedule time with us or ask questions. There’s so much I can do from my phone.
I believe that one day, with our agents and our ai integrated workflow we won’t need laptops!!!!
But I want to choose that day 😆
So thank you for your grace over the coming week.
I’m thankful for how powerful this little hand held device of mine is!
But also can we get snaps for how past-me, in one of the hardest seasons of her life, made a quiet little decision that future-me is really grateful for today?! 🥺
