If you can't talk about your pay, how can you know if you're getting less than a co-worker?

Pay secrecy clauses stop women from ever finding out if there's a gender pay gap in their workplace.

And they help keep wages low across the board.

We're ending this, so workers can choose to talk about their pay.

It's about doing what's fair - and it's just one part of our plan to get wages moving.

The Apology to the Stolen Generations was one of my proudest days in Parliament, 15 years ago today.

It was a unifying moment for our nation.

Later this year, all Australians will have the opportunity to be part of another unifying moment for our country.

The referendum will be a chance to vote for recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders – and for a Voice to Parliament – in our Constitution.

Incredible health care workers like Dr Kavita are the backbone of Medicare.

Today we’ve announced a new way to recognise these health care champions.

Soon, you’ll be able to nominate a health care worker for the Stronger Medicare Awards.

Because the people who dedicate their lives to keeping Australians healthy deserve to be celebrated.

Giselle’s got a good excuse to be late for school this morning.

She’s just been awarded National Volunteer of the Year by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

At just 14, her advocacy is making a difference for people living with Type 1 Diabetes.

This morning I welcomed Giselle to Kirribilli House to say congratulations.

Freedom, peace and equality are not just Australian values or American ideals.

They belong to all humankind.

This is the heart of our alliance. The soul of our partnership.

An honour to speak at the White House welcome ceremony this morning.

Australia and New Zealand are more than friends.

We are whānau – family.

And from July 1, there will be a direct pathway for eligible New Zealand citizens to Australian Citizenship.

All Special Category Visa holders will be able to apply directly for citizenship, as long as they meet a four-year residence and other eligibility requirements.

Many New Zealanders choose to live and contribute to our country. This change will give them the opportunity to become Australian citizens and enjoy the rights and obligations that come from citizenship.

New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins and I will attend a citizenship ceremony in Brisbane tomorrow.

To welcome the newest members of the Australian family.

Every child deserves access to quality education.

In 2023 that means access to high speed internet.

That's why we're working with NBN Co, schools and community organisations to connect up to 30,000 families who don’t have internet at home.

Our Schools Student Broadband Initiative will help children and families make the most of educational opportunities.

If supermarkets are getting their produce for less, those savings should be passed on to customers.

We’re reviewing the Food and Grocery Code of Conduct to make sure customers get a fair deal.

And we’ll look at every option to make sure Australians aren’t paying more than they should.

I am proud to lead a talented and united cabinet government that is focused every day on continuing to deliver better outcomes and more opportunities for all Australians.

We work together, we listen to each other and we act with purpose.

When team members step down that creates an opportunity for others to step up.

My team is ready.

And we're focused on continuing to deliver for Australians.
