#mentalhealth

May is #mentalhealthawarenessmonth and a time to reflect on our own mental health.

Stress, anxiety, sadness, and fear all impact our mental health. Managing our feelings and handling challenges are key to
maintaining our overall well-being. It’s easier said than done as we don’t know when our mental health slips between the cracks of our daily life.

However, if we feel stress, negative feelings, and sadness all begin to pile we need to reach out and seek help from a friend or family member.

“Some of the most comforting words in the universe are ‘me too.’ That moment when you find out that your struggle is also someone else’s struggle, that you’re not alone, and that others have been down the same road.” - Anonymous

If any of the signs (as in the infographic or others) are persisting or worsening for a while we need to seek medical professional help. We must not see mental health issues as a sign of failure, but take steps to deal with it. Asking or seeking help is courageous.

Our mind is the window to our body and soul. We need to nourish it well. Focussing on our mental health requires effort and dedication. It calls for taking small intentional steps to boost our mental and
emotional #wellness and improve the quality of our life.
