After spending a week at Life Academy on retreat, I came back even more convicted about how I can create greater value for SMEs as they learn and apply AI in meaningful ways.
Not just learning AI for the sake of learning it.
But helping businesses actually take the first step towards transformation with confidence.
Reflecting on April, one of the key highlights for me was moderating an AI panel with the Association of Catering Professionals Singapore (ACAPS). Huge thanks to President Patrick Chan and the amazing secretariat Thomas Chia for making it happen.
Honestly, it was one of the most impactful panel sessions Iâve been part of this year.
Not because it was another discussion about AI trends or theories, but because it focused on real implementation, real case studies, and honest conversations about what actually works.
Super blessed to have Teren Perera from PapercutLabs, Yi Sung from Grain, and Belicia Tan from Manna Concepts as panelists who were so open to sharing both what worked and what didnât.
And what made the session even more powerful was that they didnât just talk about AI.
They demonstrated how they were implementing Agentic AI inside their own companies, with a genuine heart to serve the community around them.
The value in the room multiplied because the use cases were relevant.
And once business owners saw someone else actually doing it, their mindset started to shift:
âMaybe I donât need to overhaul everything.â
âMaybe I can just start with one workflow.â
âMaybe this is actually possible for my business.â
Because the truth is:
Many people already know about AI.
Many have attended trainings.
But theyâre still stuck at the starting line.
Not because they lack knowledge,
but because they havenât seen how it applies to them.
Education creates awareness.
But real use cases create belief.
And belief is what drives action.
That panel reminded me again why what we do matters.
At QD Academy (previously QuickDesk) and Engages.ai, itâs never just about teaching AI.
Itâs about helping people:
see whatâs possible,
connect it to their own business,
and take that first step with confidence.
And because we want to make building AI agents more accessible for SMEs, weâre launching a new workshop focused on helping businesses create and launch their own AI Agents.
If you want to learn how to practically apply AI in your business, we are launching our AI agent course with Yee Meng Chua whom has helped companies to transform with AI.
