Posting my work is how I have gotten 90% of my clients, let me show you how to do it (part 1)

One of the biggest shifts in my design career came when I started consistently posting my work online. To this day, I still get clients reaching out almost every week because they stumbled upon something I shared.

Here’s what to do if you want your work to start attracting your ideal clients:

1️⃣ Post for clients, not for designers
Many designers make the mistake of creating content just to impress other designers. That might get you likes, but it rarely gets you clients. Instead, create content that speaks to the needs and pain points of potential clients.

2️⃣ Optimize your bio
When a client discovers your work, the next thing they’ll do is check your profile. Your bio should clearly state what you do and who you serve. Example:
“I help startups design AI products that not only meet user expectations but also exceed business goals.”
This way, the right clients know you’re the person they’ve been looking for.

3️⃣ Pick a niche and own it
Clarity beats variety. If you want to work with Web3 founders, consistently share designs and insights about Web3 products. This positions you as an expert in that space, making it easier for clients in that industry to find and trust you.

I’ll be sharing more in Part 2, but I’ll leave you with this question:
👉 What’s one thing you’ve done that helped clients start noticing your work?
