A week ago I posted about securing a job at TikTok due to a creative cv I sent in. Well…that post went viral🤯 and some people were interested in seeing what I meant by ‘creative CV’.

I used the TikTok app and set up another profile under @cvtiktokelle and started looking at the trends of the time to put the written words of my CV into a video format using the platform.

As many wanted to see what I did I will post a few of them below 😅 The whole platform is still live on @cvtiktokelle and remember with these videos they were trending video formats at the time so this is outdated / you may not understand the context if you didn’t see that particular trend!

I’m not going to pretend it’s not a little embarrassing uploading me dancing around on LinkedIn 🥲 but hey? It worked.

A little Friday reminder to SEND THAT DAMN CONNECTION REQUEST 👏🏻

I've said it before and I'll say it again, LinkedIn changed my life. I nearly didn't message the Creative Director of TikTok because I thought...he's too busy, he won't see my message AND HE DID and he helped me get my first step into the creative industry.

Last night, the same thing happened connecting with someone extremely senior at Headspace. I actually nearly went to close the message thinking it was pointless but then I thought to myself...'he might actually respond' and guess what, he's one of very few that responded to me.

...and I nearly didn't reach out.

There is literally no harm in sending the message, the worst thing that can happen is they don't respond. The best thing that can happen is, you have a great new connection.
