My mom didn’t finish high school, but because she always reinforced the importance of education,
I didn’t notice.

My mom had to work many late nights, but because she did it with love, I didn’t notice.

My mom was a single mom with four kids, but because she filled in the role of mom and dad,
I didn’t notice.

My mom had two jobs and a meager salary, but because she always found the way to put food on the table,
I didn’t notice.

My mom had a lot of financial hardships, but because she always found a way to pay her
debts,
I didn’t notice.

We lived in the mountains without water nor electricity; we didn’t have floors nor windows,
but because our house was always nice
and clean inside,
I didn’t notice.

As an adult, I am so thankful to NOTICE that despite my mom’s challenges, she made sacrifices for me that she never made for herself.

Once upon a time…

I had a boss who did not like me.

No matter how hard I tried, that boss always found something in everything I did.

This circumstance was seriously affecting my mental health. I was constantly in tears.

After a few years, I concluded that it doesn't matter how hard you try;

Some people would never like you.

And it's important to remember that we all deserve to be treated with
↳ kindness
↳ and respect.

So, It's crucial to find a workplace that recognizes and values your hard work and dedication,
where your contributions are appreciated and celebrated.

Don't dwell on a lack of professionalism and respect, which can impact your health and well-being.

Suppose your current boss is impacting your mental health. I recommend the following.

Once upon a time...

I asked my boss if I could work from another country for four weeks.

I explained to him that I hadn't seen my family for over three years.

He said:
“ Elvi, I don't care where you work from. I know you will deliver value anywhere in the world.“

He added: 
“You can decide where you work from, as I trust you.“

Great leaders don't focus on monitoring hours worked.

There is a common phrase that says, “a company is like a family,“

But it's important to remember that this isn't entirely accurate.

While a company may foster a sense of community and camaraderie among its employees,

it is fundamentally different from a family in many ways.

For example, parents don't fire their children

If they aren't performing well, lay them off during tough economic times.

In contrast, a company must make difficult decisions based on its bottom line,

which may include downsizing or letting go of underperforming employees.

Therefore, companies prioritize their bottom line; you must prioritize your well-being and your family.
