STOP thanking your prospects so much.
It’s why they ghost you.
I keep seeing emails like this:
“Thank you so much for your time today. It was so great speaking with you and I can’t wait to speak again next week!”
This is a pretty realistic email reply that sales people send after speaking with a prospect.
There’s one issue…
Being overly grateful lowers your status.
Instead:
→ Shift from gratitude to value:
“Your insights on X challenge gave me a clear direction for our proposal.“
→ Remove emotion-based language:
Replace “excited,“ “thrilled,“ and “can't wait“ with confident, direct statements.
→ Lead with what YOU delivered:
“I've mapped out the implementation timeline we discussed.“
→ Set expectations, not hopes:
“We'll cover the budget breakdown next Tuesday“ instead of “I hope we can talk soon.“
→ Close with next actions, not thanks:
“I'll send the revised proposal Thursday“ rather than “Thank you again for your time.“
This maintains your status but you’re still polite.
