STOP thanking your prospects so much.
Itâs why they ghost you.
I keep seeing emails like this:
âThank you so much for your time today. It was so great speaking with you and I canât wait to speak again next week!â
This is a pretty realistic email reply that sales people send after speaking with a prospect.
Thereâs one issueâŠ
Being overly grateful lowers your status.
Instead:
â Shift from gratitude to value:
âYour insights on X challenge gave me a clear direction for our proposal.â
â Remove emotion-based language:
Replace âexcited,â âthrilled,â and âcan't waitâ with confident, direct statements.
â Lead with what YOU delivered:
âI've mapped out the implementation timeline we discussed.â
â Set expectations, not hopes:
âWe'll cover the budget breakdown next Tuesdayâ instead of âI hope we can talk soon.â
â Close with next actions, not thanks:
âI'll send the revised proposal Thursdayâ rather than âThank you again for your time.â
This maintains your status but youâre still polite.
