This is just unacceptable.
How did we let it get this bad?
There has to be a better way to make sure that teachers are getting the fair wages they deserve.
There is no other profession where you are literally overqualified and hold multiple degrees yet barely make ends meet.
There is no other profession where you are literally spending your own paycheck to keep it afloat and make sure people (students) are getting the resources they need.
There is so much funding going around that never even makes its way into classrooms or teachers' salaries.
Honestly, no one should have to want for anything on this planet -- there is more than enough to go around.
We have to hold leaders accountable.
But sadly this is a reality that has been created by systems that obviously don't want education in America to get better.
This problem is fixable -- but the powers that be don't want to fix it.
