Getting that job interview can be tricky in today's job market. Often, just applying online doesn't cut it.

Instead, try these steps to boost your chances:

1️⃣ Make Your Resume Fit! 🧵 Match your resume to the job you want. Use words from the job listing and talk about skills and experiences that relate to it. This shows you're a great match!

2️⃣ Show Off Your Wins! 💥 Use numbers to brag about your accomplishments. Did you sell a lot? Lead a team? Let them know how awesome you are!

3️⃣ Use Strong Words! 💥 Instead of saying you “did“ something, say you “led“ or “improved.“ It makes your achievements sound even better!

4️⃣ Keep It Neat and Clear! 📊 Make your resume easy to read. Use clear headings, bullet points, and a tidy layout. Employers like a clean and organized resume.

5️⃣ Talk About Your Skills! 🤝 Don't just say what you can do, talk about how well you work with others, solve problems, and communicate.

6️⃣ Ask for Help! 🧐 Get a friend or someone to pass on your resume. If possible, talk to the HR or someone involved in hiring.

Remember, a standout resume can open doors to interviews! 🌟

Let's get on the road to interview success! 🔥

So much confusion!
“Should I use Java for coding questions, C, or some other language?”

Remember: It’s not the language that defines you, but the skills you build.

👉 Focus on fundamentals: Master problem-solving, algorithms, and data structures. These skills transcend any specific language.

👉 Be adaptable: Today it’s Java, tomorrow it could be Python. Your value lies in your ability to learn and adapt quickly.

👉 Work on projects: Building real-world applications will improve your understanding and flexibility, far beyond just knowing syntax.

When I first stepped into engineering…

I had so many questions.
Especially about interviews.

But the biggest one?

“How long will it take to be ready for DSA?”

At the time, it felt like a never-ending journey.
Like I’d never be fully prepared and was always behind.

But here’s what changed everything:

I stopped asking how long it would take &
started building a roadmap.

Instead of obsessing over the clock…
I focused on consistency.

Daily effort.
Small wins.
Bit by bit—progress.

If you’re just getting started with DSA (or feel stuck right now), let me remind you:

It’s not about how long it takes.
It’s about the steps you take each day.

P.S. What helped you stay consistent when learning something new?

Do interviews make you feel a bit uneasy?

You're not alone.

Here's a straightforward guide to feeling more at ease:

1. Know Your Worth: Think about the things you've achieved so far. Small or big, they matter.

2. Breathe: Feeling overwhelmed? Take a deep breath. It really helps to calm the nerves.

3. Practice: Just like you rehearse a presentation, practice answering interview questions. It builds confidence.

4. It's Okay to Slip: Made an error in your answer? That's okay. We all make mistakes. Learn and move on.

5. Talk to Friends: Sharing your worries can give you a new perspective. Plus, they might have some great advice!

6. Remember the Human: The interviewer? They're just like you. Looking to connect and find the right fit.

And if the interview doesn't go as planned? Think of it as a learning experience. You'll be even better prepared for the next one!

Every challenge you face makes you stronger.

Keep going, and good luck out there!

Starting to get ready for job talks can be exciting but sometimes hard to keep going.

Here's what I learned from my early tries:

1. Giving Up Too Quick 🏳️: I'd stop trying when coding got hard. 🛑 What helped?

Coding with a friend! It made solving problems fun and easier. #CodingTogether

2. No Clear Plan 🗺️: I used to watch random videos and wasted a lot of time. 🕰️ What to do?

Make a list! Write down what you need to learn and stick to it. #MakeAPlan

3. No Helper 🎭: Doing it all by myself without someone to guide me was tough. 🙈 Better way?

Find someone who knows more to help you. They can show you the right way to go. #GetHelp

Keep trying, and you'll get better. Having a buddy, a plan, and a helper makes a big difference! 🌟 #KeepGoing #LearnCoding

I can solve basic LeetCode coding questions but not able to solve medium questions.

When I was preparing for interviews, I was also facing the same issue.

Here are three steps to boost your skills:

👉 Master Fundamentals: Deep dive into data structures (arrays, linked lists) and algorithms (sorting, dynamic programming). Understand the “why” behind each concept.
👉Daily Practice: Dedicate at least an hour daily to solving medium-level problems. Break them down and understand the logic. Use solutions as a learning tool.
👉 Review and Optimize: Critically review your solutions, optimize your code, and seek feedback. Join coding contests and mock interviews for real-world experience.

Stay consistent and keep pushing towards your dream company!

Reaching out to a lot of recruiters but not getting replies?

Here’s how you can improve:

👉 Be Direct and Specific: Skip the “hi” or “hello.” Introduce yourself, mention your purpose, and get straight to the point.
👉 Show Respect for Their Time: Keep your message concise and relevant. Make it easy for them to understand your request quickly.
👉 Ask Clear Questions: Clearly state what you need help with.

Switching from a startup to Microsoft was quite a challenge for me!

I’ve received lots of DMs asking how I managed it, so I'm sharing my strategy today 🚀

1. Build Strong Foundations: I created separate lists of the top 10 questions for each DSA topic, like arrays, strings, and linked lists, and practiced them gradually. 🗺️

2. Understand Problems: I made sure to fully understand a problem before trying to solve it. 🤔

3. Revise Regularly: Consistent revisions on weekends helped me retain what I’ve learned. 📚

4. Mock Interviews: They boosted my confidence and helped me realize my weak points. 💼

Creating this kind of roadmap wasn’t easy for me, so I got a little help from an SDE friend.

Even you can get help and assistance from top engineers to create your prep plan from SDEs at Preplaced. Their personalized roadmaps will help strengthen your foundation, overcome your weaknesses, prepare for interviews, and crack them with ease📈

Have you spent hours on a bug, only to discover that a single change was all it took to fix it?

Debugging can be challenging, but it’s one of the most essential skills for software engineers.

How to Improve Your Debugging:

👉 Understand the Code: Delve into the logic and structure of your code. A deep understanding helps you pinpoint where things might go wrong.
👉 Use Debugging Tools: Leverage tools like breakpoints and step-by-step execution to identify and resolve issues quickly.
👉 Practice Regularly: Consistent practice is key. The more you debug, the sharper your skills will become.

What if I forget everything in the interview?

What if the question is something I’ve never seen before?

Even after solving dozens of problems, I still get the thinking:

“What if I’m not ready?”

But here’s what I’ve learned…

If your interview is in 2 days — stop chasing new problems.

Instead, revise what you’ve already practiced:

✅ Review your notes + patterns
✅ Solve 1-2 problems from each topic (arrays, strings, DP, trees, graphs)
✅ Practice writing code without an IDE
✅ And most importantly — stay calm.

Because most interviewers aren’t looking for someone who knows everything.

They’re looking for someone who can:
→ Think clearly
→ Stay composed
→ Communicate their approach

So even if you feel underprepared?

You’ve already done the hardest part — starting.

Now it’s time to trust your practice and give it your best shot.

I used to cram before exams in engineering because I procrastinated too much. Until the last minute, I would think, ‘I’ll do it later.’
And in my early interview days, I believed I could prepare last minute.

Does this sound familiar? Procrastination can hurt your success in interviews and your career.

Here’s how to avoid it:

👉Set Clear Goals: Define what you want to achieve each day.
👉Break Tasks Down: Divide big tasks into smaller, manageable pieces.
👉Use a Timer: Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break.

Start today, and watch your productivity improve!

🌟 I always doubt myself for landing a job at a big tech company. 🌌 But I really wanted to work at one.

Thinking about big tech interviews made me super nervous. 😟

As my interview date approached, I made some big changes:

1️⃣ Cut Out Distractions - I stopped making weekend plans and stopped binge-watching Netflix. 🚫📺

2️⃣ Make a Plan - I set up a detailed plan to learn things step by step. 📝

3️⃣ Practice Every Day - I solved problems daily until it became a routine. 🧩

Soon, I started to enjoy my preparation, and my day felt incomplete without it!

Try these steps, and turn your job dream into a reality! 🎉

Solved 200+ DSA problems.
Still not getting interviews?

This might be the problem:
You’re solving the wrong problems.

(And you’re not alone.)

Here’s what to do instead:
✅ Analyze the actual skills your dream company values
↳ Go through their job listings, tech blogs, and interview guides
✅ Find patterns in problem types they prioritize
↳ Graphs? DP? System Design? Prioritize them accordingly
✅ Solve targeted problems, not random ones
↳ This isn’t about doing “more”—it’s about doing “smart”

Smart problem selection > brute force grind.

Trust me—this one switch can change everything.

P.S. What’s one DSA topic you wish you mastered earlier?

Is DSA enough to crack interviews in companies?

Back in college, I used to wonder about this a lot.I realized that focusing solely on DSA wasn't enough.

Here are some invaluable pieces of advice I'd give my younger self:

1️⃣ Master DSA: Build a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms; they're the backbone of coding.

2️⃣ Language Proficiency: Excel in a programming language like Java, C++, or JavaScript. Choose one that feels like second nature to you.

3️⃣ Regular Practice: Challenge yourself on platforms like LeetCode and HackerRank. Practice sharpens your skills.

4️⃣ Build Projects: Apply your knowledge by working on small projects. Start simple and progressively tackle more complex ones. Real-world problem-solving is the best teacher.

5️⃣ Embrace Version Control: Git is your ally for collaborative projects. Familiarize yourself with it and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.

6️⃣ Grasp Databases: Learn the basics of database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. It's a critical skill in tech.

7️⃣ Optional: Dive into Web Development. Master HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and explore frameworks like React, Angular, Node.js, or Django.

8️⃣ API Mastery: Understand how to interact with APIs. It's key to integrating your apps with external services or data sources.

9️⃣ Read Code and Documentation: Study well-written code and API docs. It's like learning from the best in the field.

🔟 Join Coding Communities: Engage with forums, Reddit communities, or local coding meetups. Learning from others' experiences is a treasure trove.

Remember, the tech world is ever-evolving. Continuous learning and networking are your secret weapons! 💡🌐

Want to know a secret about nailing interviews?

I’ll never forget my first mock interview—it was a disaster.

I froze through my answers, and left feeling discouraged. But that experience changed everything. Instead of giving up, I went back and reflected on every mistake, every awkward pause, and every missed opportunity. I wrote down three things I did well (yes, there were a few!) and three areas to improve. That process of reflection became my secret weapon.

Over time, each mock interview felt less like an exam and more like a growth journey. By embracing reflection, I turned my weaknesses into strengths, one mock at a time.

Trust the process—reflect and grow. Every mock interview brings you closer to your dream job!
