𝐈𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭?
Look at this potter molding a clay pot with precision and grace.
Every movement is intentional, every detail deliberate.
𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓 - 𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒔 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕.
It got me thinking: 𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒊𝒏 2024?
Early in my LinkedIn journey, I made a mistake: 𝕀 𝕗𝕠𝕔𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕕 𝕠𝕟 𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕔𝕜 𝕨𝕚𝕟𝕤 - 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕖𝕪, 𝕘𝕚𝕘𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕒𝕥𝕥𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕚𝕟𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕒𝕕 𝕠𝕗 𝕙𝕠𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕞𝕪 𝕔𝕣𝕒𝕗𝕥.
But here’s the truth: 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 - 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆.
➽ Your mastery,
➽ Your delivery,
➽ Your composure,
➽ Your personality
........ people are watching.
And if you truly know what you’re doing, it won’t take long before the world notices.
When you become a master of your craft, this is what happens:
1. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬:
Just like this potter, people recognize your skill from a mile away. They trust you because your work speaks for itself.
2. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬.
Expertise has a gravitational pull. Clients, collaborators, and partners naturally gravitate toward those who demonstrate excellence.
3. 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲.
In the long run, it’s not the money or the titles that matter, it’s the impact you leave behind. True mastery creates a ripple effect that inspires and uplifts others.
𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓:
𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚. 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆, 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒓𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒕 - 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚.
𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲:
➽ Much like the potter shaping his masterpiece, your career is a work of art.
➽ Discover the niche that aligns with your purpose.
➽ Refine it if things aren’t working—adjust, adapt, and learn.
➽ Focus on refining your skills and becoming an expert in your craft.
Because when you embrace mastery, success doesn’t just happen, it becomes inevitable.
