Anything you do is everything you do’.

This is ā€œonlyā€ how the Japanese Men’s Team left the dressing room after their win over Germany.

It’s ā€œonlyā€ how the fans left the stands in the stadium.

These photos represent so much that we discuss on The High Performance Podcast.

You see, life isn’t about values, it’s about behaviours. Values are abstract, behaviours aren’t.

Your behaviours hold you to account. They represent you.

These photo show us what we should strive for. Respect, attention to detail and discipline.

Bravo. šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ

I don’t know the origin, but it’s everything I’m here for…

I’m going to say 2 things everyone is thinking:

1 - This fight didn’t live up to the hype.

2 - Financially there are big winners because:

Jake Paul knows how to sell. Strong cultural relevance, mixed with high nostalgia for Mike and amazing marketing will always win.

Oh and one other thing?

Jake wouldn’t last 20 seconds with prime Iron Mike šŸ˜…

Very impressive that he was in the ring at 58!

Dissect it all you like, but the truth is that luck and chance plays a massive part in any football match.

If an England player doesn’t bend a knee, it’s offside.

If Declan heads the ball slightly harder, we equalise.

We aren’t amazing for winning, we aren’t awful for losing.

We are simply up there with the best teams in the world and the smallest of margins separates teams at this level.

Spain win it and huge well done to them.

England have wonderful, talented, smart young players and a brilliant leader in Gareth. The future it bright.

At 46 I’ve managed to increase my Heart Rate Variability by over 200%, decrease my waist by 3ā€, and I’m lifting heavier weights than I’ve ever managed before.

And it’s all because of the following 5 episodes of High Performance šŸ™Œ

(Each of them is packed with advice I wish I’d known in my 20’s.)

→ Gary Brecka. His advice on ice baths and saunas changed the game for me. It’s one of our most popular episodes ever.

→ Ruari Fairbairns - A conversation about limiting alcohol intake and the amazing benefits it brings.

→ Dr Tara Swart Bieber - My favourite Neuroscientist who is Chief Science Officer at Heights, a supplement I take daily. She is the reason I use my phone waaaay less.

→ Ben Bergeron. The World's #1 CrossFit coach stopped me from procrastinating and helped me start doing hard things. An AMAZING episode.

→ Tim Spector Full of vital advice and information about immunity, diet and gut health.

They have changed how I operate…I strongly advise you to work your way through them.

I have multiple jobs, two kids, I’m closer to 60 than 30, life isn’t easy or simple but I promise you it isn’t too late to change how you operate and start living the life you deserve.

Please check out the episodes and let me know what lessons resonate with you x

2 images that sum up why sport is so instrumental in our lives.

From sacrifice to success, devastation to delight…it is a microcosm of our daily lives.

Nothing separates us like it, nothing unites us quite so much.

My A level results 28 years ago today.

I genuinely thought all was lost. Deeply embarrassed!

The second photo is a message from my Dad today.

A message for everyone receiving their A Level results today:

The truth is two-fold.

→ 1: Exams don’t define you. They aren’t a grade of you as a person.

→ 2: The opportunity for success today is greater than ever. The possibilities technology gives you are limitless.

Regardless of your exam results, your future remains yours to decide…

Let me tell you about one of the most painful phone calls i've ever had.

It was late 2012 and the call was to tell me that I wasn't going to present Sports Personality Of The Year.

I'd hosted the previous 4 editions of the show, but my imminent departure to BT Sport meant I was being removed as presenter.

I understood the BBC's decision, but it stung.

It stung because hosting that show was the greatest honour of my professional career.

I've added a few photos - apologies for the quality but camera phones weren't great over a decade ago!

I'll never forget the pride of hanging my clothes up in the dressing room, collecting my pass, rehearsing the show with Sue Barker, or having a dressing room next to Gary Lineker.

For me, SPOTY was the peak.

Every year it was on as a kid, it was the one show at BBC Sport that stood above all others and being asked to host it was a true honour.

I was walking in the footsteps of previous hosts Jimmy Hill, Des Lynham and David Coleman. I was just the 15th presenter in 54 years and as I walked out to host my first in 2008 it was at a packed Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Sporting royalty, a-list celebrities and even my parents were staring back at me. The nerves were VERY real.

When I got that phone call almost exactly 12 years ago, I thought my relationship with the show was over forever.

Then, this year the phone rang again. It was the BBC asking the production company I co-founded, Whisper, if we'd produce the 2024 edition.

I was blown away. A business started by the brilliant David Coulthard, Sunil Patel and I, in our back bedrooms, was going to get the chance to produce the big one.

A massive responsibility.

Tonight at 7pm I'll be excitedly watching as the best production company in the business, one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, produces Sports Personality Of The Year for you at home.

And for all of us it's a reminder that we sometimes think a door is shut on us for good, but you never truly know what others will open in the future.

Live a life of ambitious exploration and funny things can happen...

Enjoy the show x

This week, feel excited about feeling uncertain…

I’m in one of those seasons where my train is my new office.

Here’s my playbook to stay on top of things:

Tactic 1: Pre-download any documents or content I may need when I’m on the move.
Vital if you live where I do with dodgy signal on the move.

Tactic 2: Voice Notes. When I can’t meet physically, they offer a human connection and the recipient benefits from hearing my tone of voice. They're also quick!

Tactic 3: Download music and movies so I can take a break when I need to.

Tactic 4: Pack a novel and a business book, so I have something to read whatever mood I am in.

Tactic 5: Don’t use travel as an excuse to not stay healthy. Fluids up helps me stay on the job: Huel’s pre-made Black Edition keeps my protein in check. Small coffee for a dose of caffeine and for the antioxidants.

Tactic 6: The big one. I can’t control things outside my control. Delays, full carriages, cancelled trains…I don’t let them stress me out.

Then lock in šŸ” and be glad to be alive.

How do you stay productive while travelling?
