When kindness isn’t modeled in the workplace,

we find ourselves in an environment that is unhealthy and even toxic.

Today, people are clamoring for a more human style of leadership.

Managers, please use the human-to-human approach when dealing with employees.

It’s people you are dealing with and not just a statistic on a graph.

Get to know your employees, meet them where they are, and be flexible.

Kindness matters!

Your title doesn't make you a leader.

How you choose to treat your employees does.

Loyal employees are your greatest asset—lose their trust, and you've lost your foundation.

What to avoid as a leader:

❌ Taking people for granted:
↳ Not feeling valued is a top reason people disengage and leave.

❌ Rewarding your high-performers with more work:
↳ Reward them by supporting their career aspirations instead.

❌ Not matching salaries for loyal employees with those of new hires:
↳ This disrespects your loyal employees and will erode trust.

❌ Ignoring employee feedback:
↳ Don't dismiss employee insights about what could be improved.

❌ Tolerating low performance from others:
↳ Don't accept it - offer guidance and support instead.

What to do as a leader:

✅ Recognize impact and contributions:
↳ Build a habit of consistent, genuine appreciation.

✅ Provide growth opportunities:
↳ Listen to their career aspirations without making assumptions.
↳ Before hiring externally, see if you can promote from within.

✅ Help them connect the dots:
↳ Many employees have diverse experiences and non-linear career paths.
↳ Discuss how they can grow and advance to the next level.

✅ Ask for their input when making decisions:
↳ Listening to their opinions and feedback when making decisions helps them feel valued.

✅ Ensure fair compensation:
↳ Salary gaps between loyal staff and new hires are a sure way to lose trust.
↳ Regularly review and adjust compensations and benefits.

Be the leader you wish you had.

This redesign led to a 40% sales increase in just six months — all because they focused on ONE critical thing:

𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲.

GoodPop knew their product was amazing, but their identity wasn’t doing enough to sell it.

❌ Excessive competing claims on the front of the pack.

❌ A non-scalable design system.

❌ Unownable stock photography that didn’t dial up taste or personality.

When they rebranded, they fixed these problems with:

✅ Front of pack claim prioritisation.

✅ Owning a colour for brand consistency.

✅ A refined logo for maximum shelf impact.

✅ High-impact photography that dials up taste.

✅ A vibrant color palette that pops, balanced by clean white to highlight the brands 'better-for-you' claims.

The results were outstanding:

🔥 Total sales increase of 40% in six months.
🔥 Consumer preference and brand recall soared.
🔥 75% of category buyers preferred the new design over the old one.

The brain processes images,

60,000 times faster than text.

This is exactly why visuals matter more than you might think.

Whenever anyone tells me;
★ The shot looks fine
★ No one will notice the different colour
★ Don't worry about the cover, it's what the pitch says inside
★ The thumbnail doesn't matter that much
★ Let's worry about lighting last
★ Comic Sans font...

I cry a little inside.

In a world drowning in content, visual storytelling is your secret weapon.

Design is more than just aesthetics,
→ it's a powerful language of emotion, connection, and communication.

A visual choice is often the only chance,
→ to stop someone mid-scroll,
→ to hook someone into your story.
→ to convey your brand's message in a split second.

Even if the decision is
→ handheld,
→ selfie cam,
→ using the little mic on old Apple wired headphones.
This is a visual language decision and should align with what the content is communicating.

Don't forget:
★ Colour Psychology:
→ Your palette should align with your emotional message.

★ Hierarchy Matters:
→ Use size, contrast, and placement to highlight key information.

★ Whitespace is your Friend:
→ Don't fear empty space it allows things to breathe.

★ Consistency is Key:
→ Develop a cohesive visual identity.

★ Try visual hooks:
→ How can you use visuals to grab attention instantly.

For marketers, content creators, and brands, understanding the psychology of visual communication isn't just important – it's essential.

Do you agree? What font can't you stand? 👇🏼✨

Copywriting Tip:

Change your Call-to-actions to Call-to-values.

Examples:

”Get started” → “Create your website”

”Find a job for you” → “Get hired today”

”Start free trial” → “Try it at no cost”

Don’t tell them what they have to do.

Tell them what they’re getting.

Copywriting Rule:

Always put the reader first.

Instead of saying: “Our new blades are 35% sharper.“

Say: “Shave your face easier with our new, sharper razors.“

Frame the copy around the reader, not the product.

Calling all corporates, suits and desk jockeys...

You must engage with emotion, no matter your industry:

Insurance = Sells peace of mind, not policies.
Accounting and Tax = Sells clarity, not calculations.
Legal and Compliance = Sells confidence, not clauses.
Supply Chain and Logistics = Sells reliability, not routes.
Waste Management = Sells cleanliness, not collection.
Manufacturing = Sells progress, not parts.
Utilities = Sells comfort, not commodities.
Data Entry and Administration = Sells organisation, not operations.

Why let the big brands have all the fun? 😎

The future of marketing is NOT big teams.

It's small teams with “taste“ + AI 🤖

The shift is already happening:

Just look at video content.

It used to require:

→ 10-person production teams
→ Professional equipment
→ Weeks of editing
→ Big budgets

Now?

A marketer with good taste + AI can do A LOT.

👀 My 0.02

The marketer of tomorrow?

They will be like a creative director / conductor.

NOT necessarily the strongest technical skills.

But they will:

✅ Be able to operate cross-functionally.
✅ Know how to create with AI.
✅ Have strong “taste.“

AKA...

They can bring a clear strategic POV to life.

Small teams. Big impact.

That's the future of marketing.
