After 14 years, 8 months, and 2 days, today is my last day with SAP.

When I joined, I only intended to be here for a couple of years. With a new baby, the security and benefits of a big company seemed like a good choice - plus I thought it would give me a chance to use my German language skills. Somehow two years became five, and five became ten, and every time I was ready for my next challenge SAP had it waiting for me. Bringing new products to market, integrating acquisitions, learning how to build a business and how to be a leader, SAP has provided me with a rich set of experiences that have prepared me for the next phase of my career.

I leave the company today, not only with a son in high school and a much larger German vocabulary, but also with an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the wisdom I have gained, the career I have had, and most of all, the friendships I have made. I never imagined that a big company could ever feel close-knit, but it does thanks to the spirit of the people who work there.

To my friends and colleagues in Marketing and across SAP, I will miss hearing your voices and sharing in your work. I wish you the greatest of success in all that you undertake, and I will always be cheering you on from the sidelines.
