Literally every media house posting about 36% of unplaced students at IIT Bombay without doing any research 💯

Media houses don't do research and cause havoc all around. Definitely economic slowdown is affecting hiring but the way it is presented causes stress among Indian parents and students more than anything.
- In 2018-19 , 30.03% of students were unplaced at IIT Bombay because not every student who registers for placement is bound to participate in it.
- In 2019-20, 32.35% of students were unplaced at IIT Bombay because PPOs are not counted in this calculation.
- In 2020-21, 41.62% of students were unplaced at IIT Bombay because many students go for Civil services or MS.
- In 2022-23, 30.20% of students were unplaced at IIT Bombay because Offcampus offers are not counted in this calculation.
Phase 1 of 2023-24 Placement season is over with 36% students unplaced, definitely lower than historical average but not very far. Many students are pursuing different career options and startup culture is also at it's peak in India.
PPOs, Off-Campus offers, Students who go MS or UPSC are not counted in these calculations.
Disclaimer: This post is not to defame any org but an urge to spread researched information. All the above data is taken from IIT Bombay annually published placements reports which can be easily found on the internet.
