Raise your hand if you constantly see LInkedIn and social media posts about how people wake up, drink their greens, meditate, write in their journals, go to the gym for 3 hours, do one post a day for their 200k followers, and make 7 figures 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼

Maybe that happens for a few people, but for the majority of us, it’s exhausting to see constant unrealistic positivity whenever we log online.

I guess some may consider me a LinkedIn ‘influencer’ but I’m just gonna be real with you. My life is as normal as it gets.

So, I wanted to share my typical day for anyone who is remotely interested 😂

5:00 my husbands annoying alarm goes off
5:15 let the dogs out and get their breakfast ready
5:30 check work emails for any thing urgent because I have a 3 hour time difference from where my office is located
6:00 make coffee, Folgers never fails me.
6:30-3:00 (ish) work for Motor City (usually while still in pajamas).
1:00 walk the dogs. Maybe I have changed at this point but not likely.
3:15 go to the gym that’s 4 minutes from my house
4:45 feed the dogs before I feed myself.
5:00 eat dinner, which usually consists of either a protein shake or chicken and rice (I don’t cook)
7:00 mess around on my phone or watch Netflix
9:00 go to bed.

Life isn’t always rainbows, glitter and unicorns. & It’s rarely glamorous.

It can be mundane, routine, and honestly somewhat boring; however, if you can support yourself (&your family), go on a vacation here and there, put food on the table, do fun things once in awhile, spend time with the people you love, and take time to appreciate what you have, you’ve cracked the code to a successful life.

What a freakin MILESTONE.

6 years ago I started on LinkedIn with about 100 connections, never thinking in my wildest dreams this platform would turn into what it is today.

I remember when I posted my first ever ‘selfie’ video on my page and felt so weird because literally NO ONE was recording videos/posting personal content on here.

Ohhhh, if younger Lauren could see me now. 😂❤️

Now, 85,000 of you follow along on my women in manufacturing, daughter of Christ, and overall personal journey. I’m so grateful.

I will do everything I can to continue to be the representative in this industry you all deserve and can be proud of.

Lastly and most importantly, once I decided to fully surrender to the Lord and begin posting about what truly matters in my life, that’s when I saw my platform grow the most. Creating disciples while promoting the trades? That’s what this is all about for me.

To God be the glory.

I’ve done a few podcast interviews lately that have asked me how I got into the Manufacturing industry and WHY I want to stay.

How- still not a single clue 😂. But I always say, “Sales is sales. As long as you have the ability to talk to people, and truly believe in the product/service you’re selling, you can be successful”.

The WHY is so much more important to me.

Reason #1: This industry has challenged me in the best ways.

Reason #2: I’ve always been a confident person, but being in manufacturing has strengthened that confidence because of things not always being easy.

Reason #3: The absolutely INCREDIBLE people who work alongside me. Women AND men.

Reason #4: Being able to have younger individuals and girls looks up to me as I advocate for this trade.

Reason #5: The insane work places I’ve been able to explore and see behind the scenes of.

Reason #6: I AM ALWAYS CONTINUING TO LEARN HERE. Nothing is stalemate. Nothing is status quo. Everything is new, evolving, challenging, and beautiful.

THAT is why I stay. ❤️
THAT is why others should consider joining. 💙

✨Season 29, Episode 1.✨

As I reflect on year 28, all I can say is Wow. It was a year full of changes, heartbreak, growth, healing, self-discovery, and redemption.

In honor of 29, here are nine things I want to put out into the world.

1. There is no ‘right time’. There’s only time and what you choose to do with it.
2. Healing is not linear. You don’t need to be 100% healed to deserve and allow yourself love.
3. Until Jesus is enough for you, no person or thing will ever be.
4. It’s not WHAT you have in your life, but WHO you have in your life that counts.
5. Ignore what people say and watch what they do instead.
6. Fight. Fight for what’s right, what’s important to you, and for the ones you love.
7. Let go and trust Gods divine timing. He knows exactly what you need and when you need it.
8. If you want to be good, you have to surround yourself with good people.
9. Don’t chase others. Be you, work on yourself, and the right people who belong in your life will come and stay.
