How I never ran out of ideas in 2 years of making content for companies that generated 500K+ followers…
It’s called the S.E.P.I. Framework:
- Story
- Enemy
- Product
- Inspirations
The concept is to have multiple idea triggers so you never end up feeling stuck.
Here’s a bit more detail:
STORY - The story of your company is the single most valuable and unique asset your company has.
You can use it to make videos about...
- problems you’ve faced
- mistakes you’ve made
- successes you’ve had
- things happening in the near future
ENEMY - Every great cult needs an enemy. It’s easier to tell people what you’re against than what you’re for. Your enemy can be the big corporations you’re going up against or simply a mindset/behaviour that you’re trying to challenge.
You can use this to make videos...
- explaining the status quo in your industry that you’re trying to challenge
- explaining why your company is so different to all the others in the industry
- call out your competitors in a fun-spirited way
PRODUCT - at some point you’re going to need to tell people what you’re selling. But unlike most other brands, your videos don’t have to be boring.
You can use formats like:
- going behind the scenes of manufacturing/designing
- stress test your products in a way that’s fun to watch
- develop new versions of your product based on viewer suggestions
INSPIRATIONS - there’s no better feeling than getting a great idea. Hopefully, by using the other frameworks you’ll get a lot of them. But there will come a time when you don’t have any great ideas and you need to spark inspiration.
For that purpose I suggest having a database of videos from the best companies and creators to inspire you.
