When I moved to the UK from India, I carried more than just luggage.

I practised a faith most had never heard of.

I brought a story that didn’t start in Britain, but was deeply connected to it.

And I quickly learned how easy it is to be underestimated.

But I also learned something else.

Culture is not a barrier.
It’s not a checkbox.
It’s not a branding tool.
It’s a multiplier, when you understand the value of what you bring.

Being Zoroastrian taught me to act with integrity.
Being Indian taught me the importance of family and hospitality.
Being British taught me how to challenge with purpose, and to lead with both courage and civility.

These things are not at odds.

They are the foundation of how I lead, build, and serve.

So if you’re navigating leadership while straddling worlds, don’t dilute your identity. Deepen it.

Because the future won’t be shaped by those who fit in.

It will be shaped by those who bring all of who they are, and lead from there.
