Back where it all started!
Right after I graduated, Renault gave me my first job in the automotive industry. Working in the sector was a childhood dream and I will always remember my first years in the company. Three decades and various experiences later, it fills me with joy and gratitude to see my career path taking me back to where I started, this time as C.E.O. It is a great honor, it is also a great responsibility. Groupe Renault is going through difficult times and the context of a global and complex crisis is not helping.
After a few days within Groupe Renault, I am confident in our ability to bring the company back on track. The teams are highly skilled, committed and passionate. Our product range includes unique technologies such as our upcoming hybrid innovation E-Tech. Our brands are strongly anchored and yet still full of potential. The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance gives us a great strength for the present and the future.
We still have much to do. The upcoming months and years will be tough and the road to success will not be easy. But I have trust in the Renault teams’ capability to rise up to the challenge. Together, we will put Groupe Renault back where it belongs, among the world’s most popular and successful carmakers.

Renault Group est prĂ©sent au Maroc depuis prĂšs d’un siĂšcle et les racines profondes que nous y avons dĂ©veloppĂ©es sont faites de liens humains.

En ces heures tragiques, nos pensĂ©es vont bien sĂ»r au peuple marocain, Ă  nos collaborateurs, Ă  nos partenaires, Ă  nos clients ainsi qu’à toutes celles et ceux qui leur sont chers.

Nous nous sommes mobilisĂ©s immĂ©diatement avec le comitĂ© de direction du Groupe, nos Ă©quipes sur place et les autoritĂ©s marocaines pour envisager des mesures d’aide concrĂštes. It integrates a 40kWh battery for everyday use and a #hydrogen fuel cell for longer trips. This means that on a typical route from Paris to Marseille, you would need only two 5min stops to recharge, and 75% of the electricity consumed would be produced by the fuel cell, with no emissions other than water! 
 
But its performance doesn't only come from within. This car was designed for enhanced aerodynamics thanks to its flowing lines, without compromising habitability. It embodies Renault’s new design language, “La Nouvelle Vague”, while demonstrating our ambition to keep innovating in upper segments.

A brand's turnaround starts with the creation of emotional and stunning products.. At Renault, vehicle after vehicle, we are building the best line-up in decades.

All-new Renault Rafale is the next milestone of the Renaulution. Daring by nature, it takes its name from Renault’s glorious, yet sometimes forgotten past in the aviation industry.

The Caudron C460, renamed “Rafale” when Renault acquired the aircraft manufacturer Caudron to which it was already providing performant engines, was a single-seat racing aircraft designed to break records. Rafale stood out for its breath-taking design, cutting-edge aerodynamics and its extraordinary performances that made it a legend. Pushing all the limits, it allowed the famous aviator HĂ©lĂšne Boucher to beat a number of speed records, including the women’s record for distances over 1,000km, reaching 445 km/h in 1934.

There was no better name than Rafale for the vehicle that will be top-of-the-range coupé hybrid SUV, and a new standard-setter in the segment.

For the first time since I took up my position as CEO Renault Group, I finally could hop on a flight to Japan to visit our Alliance partners headquarters and technical centres.

During these days, along with Jean-Dominique Senard and other colleagues, I had the chance to meet the local teams, have inspiring conversations, discover Nissan Motor Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation future design and test drive their latest models. I was really impressed by our partner’s competences, technology and products!

The Alliance is today stronger than ever. We have in our hands the key levers for the success of all our companies and the #Alliance itself:
- Cultural diversity
- Common platforms, to be used in more than 80% of the combined 90 models in 2026
- Shared technologies, such as the development and mass production of all-solid-state batteries by mid-2028
- Upcoming projects on electric vehicles and software development

La transformation de cette usine historique confirme l’engagement pris par Renault Group pour la reconversion vers un dĂ©veloppement plus durable et des nouveaux business model Ă  haut potentiel.

Plus de 700 personnes font dĂ©jĂ  partie de la ReFactory et la Factory VO constitue d’ores et dĂ©jĂ  la plus grande unitĂ© de reconditionnement de vĂ©hicules Ă  l’échelle industrielle en Europe. Ce n’est que le dĂ©but.

One year after its announcement, the ReFactory in Flins is real.

The transformation of this historic plant is confirming the engagement that Renault Group has taken for a reconversion towards more sustainable development and a new business model with high potential.

More than 700 people are already part the ReFactory, and the the Factory VO is already the largest car refurbishment unit at industrial level in Europe. This is only the beginning.

Every day, we combine our expertise and our actions to limit our impact on the climate. We do it as a team but not only. We believe the fight for the climate can only be won if we collaborate with key partners.
Together with Andy Marsh, Renault Group and Plug Power announced the finalization of the creation of HYVIA. Dedicated to #hydrogenmobility, HYVIA aims to offer an entire mobility ecosystem. It includes the production of light commercial vehicles, charging stations, supply of carbon-free hydrogen as well as maintenance and management of fleets. The joint venture will operate across four sites in France.
We are thrilled since HYVIA opens a new path to low-carbon mobility and positions Europe at the forefront of the hydrogen technology, the activities of HYVIA being established in France.
This is a new step, both for Renault Group and its objective of having the greenest mix on the market by 2025, and for the future of mobility.

It was a pleasure to participate as panel speaker at the Financial Times ‘Future of the Car’ Summit 2022, along with other great personalities and colleagues such as Herbert Diess, Carlos Tavares, Ashwani Gupta and many others.

I had the chance to share my vision on the current transition towards electric mobility. The end game is, without a doubt, an all-electric automotive world. Yet, this transition will still take time and it requires a clear strategy to manage it.

We must curb emissions from on the entire vehicles' life cycle, not only from tank to wheel. We must take on an ecosystemic approach and partner with the best players to cover the entire electric vehicle value chain, face the necessary investments and move forward as fast as possible. And in the meantime, we must also continue to improve combustion and hybrid technology. Only the combination of these technologies has the potential to conciliate the challenges awaiting us in the next two decades, and accelerate energy transition to make automotive sustainable.

I’d like to thank once more Peter Campbell for the interesting interview, and all my colleagues who have shared inspiring visions and insight on the future of our industry. Automotive remains, now more than ever, one of the main vectors for innovation.

The transition to electric vehicles is accelerating the shift of the entire value chain and transforming our business, thus creating new opportunities. To seize them and tackle new growth territories, we had to create a new brand, for the first time in the history of Renault Group. And that’s MOBILIZE - BEYOND AUTOMOTIVE!

Today during the first Mobilize Day, along with Mobilize CEO Clotilde Delbos and the management colleagues, we have shared our vision for the future of the brand. The mission is clear: we want Mobilize to contribute at least for 20% of the Group turnover by 2030, on very profitable businesses. And we want it to project the Group beyond automotive, becoming the pivot towards the future of mobility.

We have all it takes to succeed. We know how to create purpose designed vehicles, thanks to dedicated engineering and design teams. And today we are kicking off a whole new business model around the Vehicle-as-a-Service, with a complete offer based on an integrated software ecosystem.

On top, RCI Bank and Services, from now on called Mobilize Financial Services, will be key to accelerate the deployment of mobility solutions through long term rentals and car subscriptions. Our objective is ambitious: achieving 1 million rentals and 200 thousand subscriptions by 2030.

A fact of life: when sons decide to leave home you expect that they can take care of themselves. CUPRA has widely demonstrated that! After over a year as an independent brand it has continued to set a new sales record every month. New headquarters are underway with motorsport at its core and will be located on a 10,500 square meter plot of land surrounded by nature next to SEAT’s. I’m excited to see the tribe grow. Congrats to the team & welcome to the Garage! đŸ€™
