People looking for jobs. This is my advice:
1. Remove your ‘open to work’ label. It’s like the ‘I need a friend!’ bench.
2. Stop applying for jobs that are advertised. Everyone else is.
3. Find small to medium sized companies that you like. Contact the CEO directly and tell them how you can help grow their company (side note: do research)
4. Consider going out on your own and offering whatever you are good at as a service. If it works you could start a company doing it. Grab a friend and do this together
5. Be willing to move towns or work in an office full time.
6. Contact your close connections and tell them you are looking and ask if they can help. Ask if you can help them with anything.
7. Multiply the volume of work you are currently doing to find a job by 10. (Or 3 if you’re going to cry about it! We can all do more)
I’m confident if you do those things you will find something good.
