Doctors have been working under the assumption that #COVID19 patients develop ARDS but now some doctors are questioning whether standard respiratory therapy protocol for ARDS is the best approach for treating patients with COVID.
- In NYC the mortality rate of COVID patients over 65 on ventilators is over 97%
- In NYC the mortality rate of COVID patients aged 18 to 65 on ventilators is 76%.
- Study in Wuhan showed that 97% of COVID patients on ventilators died.
- Study in Seattle showed that 6 of the 7 COVID patients older than 70 on ventilators died.

Harvard Medical School students have created a #COVID19 curriculum. It includes information about epidemiology, clinical management, testing, treatment, vaccine development, and communication. Each section was reviewed by at least two Harvard Medical School faculty experts. Many modules reference supplemental resources that may be worth accessing in the future and can also be used to find the most current statistics for the pandemic. Also included are one-page summaries of each module’s key takeaways.
