Along with our partners Dubai Electricity & Water Authority - DEWA, we are delighted to announce the financial closing of the 1800MW sixth phase of the #MBRSolarPark, the largest single-site solar park in the world. The solar park’s capacity is expected to exceed 5,000MW by 2030.

#MBRSolarPark covers an area of 20 square kilometers and the sixth phase will provide #CleanEnergy for approximately 540,000 residences and reduce around 2.36 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

The project is a new milestone in promoting the use of clean and #RenewableEnergy in the #UAE, in line with the country’s National Energy Strategy 2050 and the #UAEConsensus.

We are pleased to announce our proposed acquisition of Saeta Yield, leading independent developer, owner and operator of renewable power assets in #Spain and #Portugal with capabilities across the entire value-chain, from Brookfield Asset Management. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to occur around the end of 2024.

The deal further cements #Masdar’s position in #Spain, one of #Europe’s largest renewable markets. The deal demonstrates #Masdar’s commitment to accelerating the energy transition in the Iberian Peninsula and the wider #Europe, and advances its growth plans in the region as the company targets global capacity of 100GW by 2030.
