The mission of Too Good To Go is to fight food waste. But under these exceptional circumstances, we want to make an extra effort to help our partners and the rest of the food business.
“Takeaway to Give Back” is a non-profit initiative making our platform available for takeaway for all food businesses during this crisis.
We launched the project in France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal and Denmark this week, and hundreds of restaurants and other food outlets have created thousands of takeaway products that can now be purchased by our community. The Netherlands, Norway, UK, Switzerland and Poland will follow within the next couple of days.
We have more than 21 million users in our community and there has never been a more important time for communities to come together around a shared cause. In this case, we come together by keeping a distance and by supporting our local businesses as much as we can. We hope our amazing users will support this cause.
Note that we follow the local governments’ recommendations when it comes to takeaway as an advisable option to get food and we adjust if/as recommendations change. When the crisis is over, we will return to being 100% focused on fighting food waste.
