I turned 62 yesterday. I celebrate every year and openly share my age. There’s nothing to hide and nothing to fear.

When I was still in the software industry, I didn’t feel this free. The culture of youth was powerful, and I was often the oldest person around. And when the company where I worked for 20 years let me know that there were no longer any opportunities for me in the organization, I decided to forge my own path and become a solopreneur.

The last two years of running my own business have been some of the most meaningful and fulfilling years of my life, and I am just getting started. At 62 years old, I will not be counted out. Don’t expect me to retire or to be quiet. I have too much accumulated experience, hard-earned knowledge, and (yes) wisdom that I plan to share with the world. I also know that I still have much to learn, and I will never stop learning.
