I’ve spent over 3 years as an F1 videographer. My biggest regret?

Telling somebody else’s story? Easy. Telling yours? Uhm…..

Every freelancer knows it's hard. You’re not hiding behind the safety of a brand account. You’re going straight for the admin reveal.

You keep telling yourself:
- “I don’t have time”
- “It’s not good enough”
- “I’ll post about the next one”

But the next project comes along and it’s not “perfect” either.

At some point, you realise:

You’ve done all these cool things... but NOBODY KNOWS.

↳ So one day, you break through the fear.

Here are a few things that helped me break through mine:

1. No one is judging you as hard as you are
2. The more you post, the easier it gets 
3. You’ll regret not doing it wayyy more 
4. You risk nothing but stand to gain a lot
5. What if it fails → what if it WORKS?

You’ll never be ready. It’ll never be perfect. The best thing you can do is minimise regret and start NOW.

I got my dream job in F1. It still wasn’t “good enough”.

The harsh truth every perfectionist needs to hear:

Nothing you’ll ever do will feel good enough.

You’ll never be 100% happy with the result.

You’ll always find something to compare it to.

The only thing you CAN do?

Accept it.

Then:

→ Act despite it.

Do the thing, even if it’s not good enough.

Do the thing, even if you’re not happy with it.

↳ Short-term discomfort beats lifelong regret.

And imperfect might just be enough.
