In the course of the mobility revolution, the bicycle is becoming increasingly important in individual transportation. As a transport bike for daily shopping, as well as for transporting people, e.g. children to daycare or school, the cargo bike is becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to the car. In the everyday use of Cargobikes, changing requirements arise depending on the situation.
For example, stowing smaller purchases with a small space requirement and the desire for maneuverable driving characteristics are contrasted with the larger space requirement when picking up the children after shopping.
With the design of the Cargobike GROW, the development team has combined the advantages of the different size classes of the market in one Cargobike. Cargobikes pose several problems for many users: They are long, heavy, unwieldy, sluggish to ride and not very flexible, since statistically an empty cargo area is ridden most of the time.

The length of the cargo bike can be adjusted to the respective requirements in just a few steps. In this way, a small, maneuverable cargo bike can be transformed into a full-size cargo bike with maximum load volume.
The added value of changing the length of the Cargobike GROW and the resulting adaptability to individual customer needs, is unique and shows a convincing advantage compared to other Cargobikes. This added value of the Cargobike GROW is the most important unique selling point and is secured with an issued EU patent.
๐ป๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ was presented by the convincing user application. The manually operated length adjustment was realized with a telescopic guide. It had to be smooth-running and at the same time capable of bearing loads. At the same time, the main load acting on the front frame part was vertical and thus presented an additional challenge.
The frictional resistance under high vertical load had to be as low as possible. In addition, the sliding tube was made of anodized aluminum. The bearing bushings therefore had to harmonize exactly with the surface and produce low frictional resistance. Since the Cargobike is primarily used outdoors, the bushings had to be resistant to weather conditions such as rain, sun, frost and temperature fluctuations.
