Today, for the first time in five hundred years, the #ProcuratieVecchie is open to the public following Generali’s complete restoration project together with David Chipperfield Architects.
This iconic building is now the global home of the The Human Safety Net, a place for exchanging ideas to overcome today’s global social challenges as well as a space to support Venice as the world capital of sustainability.
In addition, we announced our partnership with UNDP to provide both technical and financial resources to their Insurance and Risk Finance Facility (IRFF). With this multi-year agreement, Generali will also contribute to accelerating the delivery of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. We are eager to help shape UNDP’s ambitious agenda of protecting lives, building resilience, and driving inclusive economic growth.
I could not think of a better way to conclude our 190-year anniversary celebrations. I thank all those who have made it possible to achieve this outstanding milestone in our Group’s history.
