I won’t lie to you. The job market is brutal. Endless rejections, too few openings, and almost no hope…..

But before you almost give up, international students and jobseekers, read this once:

I know:
- you are stressed, anxious, and frustrated with it all
- this is one of the worst job markets, especially for tech
- there have been too many layoffs and too few openings
- many companies are on a hiring freeze, and some are not even hiring

You landed in this country with your dreams and worked hard for them a couple of years ago, but now your reward for all that effort seems to be missing.

I completely understand:
- you have to manage your financial obligations
- you have to manage the expectations of your parents
- you need to find a job ASAP to make sure your dream doesn’t die

Since the last 2 months, I’ve talked to 4-5 students and professionals each week.

Some have gotten offers despite this recession, and some are still trying.

I want to tell you that your feelings and thoughts are valid.

The situation and market seem bleak, but there are still jobs, and no one is better qualified for hard work than international students.

So, while you may receive your 99th rejection this evening, remember that you only need one offer.

You haven’t come this far to quit.

-Leverage your LinkedIn for job hunt
-Talk to your employed Alumni and professors
-Make sure you’re at your best performance-wise

And keep working.

I am here to support you. All the best!!
