I recently had the opportunity to visit our colleagues in India and went to four cities in five days – Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. I was joined by Oron Gill Haus, Sonali Divilek, Kaaren Hanson and Timothy Ferriter, CFA, and our local leaders and terrific hosts Subba Perepa, Ravi Pasupuleti, Kaushik Roy, Vidhya Duthaluru and Divjot Nanda.

We had an awesome time connecting with our local teams. We’ve seen huge growth over the last year in the leadership opportunities in India, and we continue to expand our teams across product, tech, design and data & analytics in the region.

We launched our new Chase Dining and The Infatuation product team in our brand-new facility in Mumbai! We also got a chance to see the high quality engineering work our Card team is doing to continue to improve transaction processing at mega scale.

In Pune, we visited our incredible travel team for some demos, lunch and speed networking to connect with the many talented folks here. We met some young leaders here, too, and had lots of great dialogue. The focus on product development excellence was energizing. Pune is our newest location in India - more to come!

In Bengaluru, we toured the new JPMorgan Chase & Co. campus! It is such a beautiful building—we opened it earlier this year, and it was built with a focus on nurturing holistic wellness, with flexible and efficient spaces, and integrated sustainability, located in the Embassy Tech Village. This is where Gill and I hosted our Q4 Global Town Hall (and got an awesome selfie with the room full of product and experience and technology colleagues). There is also a video somewhere of Gill and I playing cricket in our indoor pitch! Our data & analytics team showcased everything from insights they are developing to machine learning being applied to some of our biggest opportunities. We also saw some new features being built for the Chase mobile app - I will share those soon!

And our happy Hyderabad team rolled out demo after demo of the great experiences they are building for our customers. For example, great design-led work to enhance Chase First Banking. Our Auto team showcased how they are making it easier for customers to shop for a car with confidence in our app or at a dealer! We also met with Business Banking and Operations teams who shared their passion for the work we do in support of business owners and to simplify customers’ lives.

We are building empowered product teams in India that own key aspects of the Chase experience. I am continually in awe of what our India based team does year-round for our employees and customers. We can't wait to return!
