My product career has truly come full circle — from being a Carnegie Mellon University student asking about PM interviews to returning this week to share my own journey.

I had the opportunity to virtually connect with students at my alma mater, to share insights about breaking into product roles.

It was surreal being on the other side of the screen. Just a few years ago, I sat where they are now, trying to figure out my next career move.

Coming from an Information Systems Management background, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate the path to product.

My journey from data scientist to Product Marketing Manager at HP wasn't easy, but my tech background helps me every day.

Today, I use those skills to bridge the gap between complex AI/data science solutions and customer needs.

To the students who joined: thank you for your thoughtful questions. To anyone else considering a transition to product:

> Focus on translating complex problems into business impact
