When a prospect tells me they're interested in a meeting via email or LinkedIn chat, I immediately send a calendar invite.
Then I say, “Terrific - I just shot you over a calendar invite for [whatever day / time I set the meeting up for] - let me know if that time doesn't work for you.“
Nine times out of ten it *does* work, and they accept the invitation.
When I sit around trying to coordinate back & forth with a prospect over their availability via email/chat, they fall into an abyss that eats them up, and spits them out two weeks later when they finally hit me back that they're “free in two weeks.“
By that time, the opportunity I thought I just scored is actually going down next month or, heck, next quarter, and it's not gonna count toward my now quota.
i.e. Wompadoo. No money for Sarah.
Why does this happen?
Welp. No one likes coordinating calendars.
(Okay, so, maybe not no one.
I once worked as an interim administrative coordinator at a church, and the lady who took over the job for me straight thrived off of that kinda stuff.
But.
I digress.)
The assumptive close.
S'great.
Try it.
🎩 h/t Mark Shalinsky for teaching me this a year and a half ago. 👌
