If you're the first engineer from a middle-class family your life is gonna be really hectic.

Not because of the job but because of the other things that you'd be doing for the very first time.

Filing for taxes, getting health insurance for your family, reading terms, starting from scratch and finding brokers in unknown cities, getting your parents their first passport cause you want them to travel as well, probably buying your first house all alone, switching jobs, preparing for interviews, trying to stay fit by going to gym but also enjoy life since you spent last 6 year either in college or in JEE prep.

So many many things. Sometimes it will get exhausting, but it would be worth it.

Most of the tools we used in IIT Delhi were built by students.

And it made everyone’s life easier.

When we saw “okay we need a better TnP portal”, students build it.

When folks saw “okay we don’t have a course allotment system” they talked to profs and build it.

When we saw “okay we don’t have a hostel website” they build it.

When we thought “we need better ways for professors to allocate projects to students”, people came together and build solutions.

Everyone was heavily solution oriented.

People outside think IIT students just crammed books, while in reality that was the last part.

Everyone was doing something new. Sometimes it got overwhelming as well. To see everyone trying in new things.

But that environment eventually made everyone’s life easier and made everyone grow.
