My first job salary was 17000 INR.

I did not negotiate with HR because I was new to the corporate world and lacked negotiating skills.

Today, when I look back at that time, I realise that I was underpaid because the efforts I used to put into the work and the kind of salary I used to get was unfair.

I have one suggestion for you, if you know your value, then do not agree to a low salary.

Always negotiate!

What was your first salary?

I was terminated from a job 2 years ago.

Yes, this is true.

I joined them in Dec and got a termination mail in Jan end.

That was the start of my career, and I was highly demotivated.

But that incident also gave me the reason to prove myself, and today, when I look back, I feel that it was for my own good only.

The work environment of the company was not good, and I used to feel suffocated at times.

I started doubting my choices and everything that I was doing.

I am happy that they removed me, otherwise, I was about to resign.

Sometimes it is important for us to face such situations where we get rejected because these things teach us a lot.

Why should a founder build a personal brand on LinkedIn?

I do consultation calls with a lot of founders and CEOs on Personal Branding.

But I have observed that a lot of founders still do not post on LinkedIn and do not stay connected with their audience.

Let me give you 5 reasons why a founder should start creating content on LinkedIn:

1. Organic growth of business

2. Recruit top talent

3. Attract investors

4. Establish credibility and authority

5. Gain media opportunities

Do you still need a reason to start working on your personal brand?

If yes, then book the 1:1 call to learn more about personal branding and take your brand to the next level.

Freelancing has become a trend these days.

We see people quitting their jobs and doing full time freelance.

It seems cool, but this is what it looks like in reality

๐Ÿ“Œ No free weekends

๐Ÿ“Œ Sleepless nights

๐Ÿ“Œ Constant work pressure

ย ๐Ÿ“ŒTight deadlines

๐Ÿ“ŒRegular meetings

๐Ÿ“Œ Non-uniform income

If you are willing to do all this, then go for it.ย

Last week I attended India's one of the biggest Startup events, Startup Mahakumbh

The energy was insane with 3000+ startups.

I interacted with so many brands, and founders and got to know so many things.

There were so many AI-based startups, which clearly shows that AI is definitely ruling the market and will spread more in the coming time.

AI startups cover so many industries that we cannot even imagine, I interacted a lot with AI in hiring and business management.

It made me realize we have to move forward with technology otherwise our growth will be questioned after a point of time.

These offline events are a great way to build connections and widen your knowledge.

Offline events can help you build a strong network which can work in your favour.

I also shared my work with them, let's see if we turn up working together.

Did you visit Startup Mahakumbh?

Hustle culture is wrong.
People who freelance with job should be fired.

Yesterday, I read a post stating this.

Dear employers,

No employee would freelance is he/she is getting fair salaries.

Mostly, people freelance because they are underpaid. (No doubt that there are other reasons as well.)

Firing people is not the solution, instead pay them what they deserve.

Do you agree?

Conversations create network!

LinkedIn has gained so much popularity in last 2-3 years that now networking on LinkedIn has becomes overrated.

Every one wants to connect and grow on LinkedIn.

But only few of them know the exact roadmap and right strategy.

Here's my take: leave generic connection requests and the endless self-promotion. Instead, focus on real conversations.

Ask provoking questions in posts. Share your own experiences and insights.

It's not about how many people you know, but the quality of those connections.

Real conversations build real relationships, and that's what truly matters on LinkedIn.

Do you have real conversations in DM's? I personally try to connect with new people every week.

- Shared content that my audience resonates with
- Constantly kept an eye on the analytics
- Engaged with the posts of the content creator to whom I aspire
- Developed a tone for my brand and maintained that
- Experimented with visuals

It's been 8 months as an agency owner and I have realized that although clients are essential to run a smooth business listening to your team is equally important.

You should know things you need to do to support your team.

- Don't overburden them with work

- Allow them to be creative

- Motivate them from time to time

- Reward for performance

How do you support your team and motivate them?

I would love to know your views in the comments below!

3 Features of LinkedIn that I love apart from posting content:

1. Schedule post: Make your work easy. You can post at the optimal time even when you are not available.

2. Send Connection Requests: Networking has given me so many benefits, I love connecting with people.

3. Audio Events: Recently, LinkedIn has started this and I enjoy attending and hosting audio events a lot. They are so convenient to attend.

It's been over a year now that I have been using LinkedIn and so far the platform has helped me learn a lot.

Made so many good connections, gained knowledge, and grew my personal brand.
