I didn't like my face!!

For 2 years, I made videos on YouTube without showing my face. Why?

Because I was shy.
I was camera conscious.
But most truthfully, I didn't like my face.

I was scared of being judged, being laughed at, and not being accepted.

Then, one day, a friend said to me,
“Aren't you a hypocrite? In your videos, you ask the students to come out of their comfort zones while you don't want to leave yours?“

That friend of mine, through his words that seemed harsh at the moment, truly inspired me to face the camera.

Truth be told, I still am camera conscious.

The first few minutes of my recording are often spent telling myself:

“Come one, Shweta, you can do this“
“Remember why you're doing this“
“This info needs to reach people“

It's tough, incredibly tough for someone like me. But, what keeps me going is what my friend taught me:

Sometimes, the fear won't go away, so you'll have to do it afraid. What's important is - to do it, anyway!

P.S. - This was the thumbnail of the first video I made facing the camera :)
