I'm sharing this one again, it's one of the best introduction to color palette for beginners I've found. It nicely shows that you don't just need the “palette“ you built, but greys and accent (I call them utility) colors (it misses a part about accessibility though). This is one think I see often with design students: they are afraid of the white and greys, once they found a palette, they want to apply it on everything. But, it doesn't really work.
