We’ve left ourselves with a very steep mountain to climb to achieve ambitious outcomes in Baku.” 
 
In his closing speech of the #JuneClimateMeetings, UN Climate Change Executive Secretary Simon Stiell called upon all countries to step up their climate action efforts ahead of #COP29 in Baku in November. 
 
Reflecting on the progress made so far, he stressed the need to leave business-as-usual behind. 
 
“Don’t leave the hardest work to the eleventh hour,” he urged delegates. “The secretariat will be with you every step of the way.”
