Some exciting and bittersweet news: I'm leaving Maven. This was a big decision but it’s been an amazing ride and I’m stoked for what's next.
Three years ago, Gagan, Shreyans, and I started Maven because there wasn't a place where course creators could easily build live courses. This was a challenge I personally experienced when building cohort-based courses & needing to cobble together a bunch of tools.
We were three people with a crazy dream of flipping the script on online education. Bit by bit, the dream became more real. Along the way, we were lucky enough to attract some of the sharpest operators I've ever worked with who shared this dream too.
Flash forward to today: We have an amazing product and community. We’re defining what high quality, modern online education looks like. And we’ve made it easier than ever to run a course business and make a great living doing it. I am intensely proud of this company, of this team, of how we're shaping the future of education.
Now that Maven exists, becoming a course creator is much more achievable. In addition to continuing to share here on LinkedIn and other projects, building a course is likely in my future…
I’m not launching anything new right away, but if you’d like to hear when I do, sign up for my newsletter at weskao.com/newsletter
In terms of what’s next, I'm going to take some time to relax, travel, and (try to) do nothing for a bit. :]
