I was depressed and unhappy as I did not hear anything from any company for a long period of time and I know many of us would have been.
Honestly, I have applied for various opportunities in finance but it didn't work out for a long time. When I tried to figure it out, I got to know that as BA/BCOM/BBA/MBA/CA/CFA/CFP/CWM students, we are mostly unaware of the practical world due to a lack of corporate exposure & application-based learning in our college curriculum.
Within a year, I was able to secure great responsibilities at great pay. I have worked for startups to Big4s and have secured remarkable results for the companies.
Let me explain to you what I did and how I landed in the company.
ā I have built a personal project portfolio to showcase the HR.
ā Networked with Investment Bankers and got Certified in Financial Modeling & BV at the corporate level.
ā ļø Focused much more on learning Futuristic & Practical techniques in finance.
ā Mastered the art of working in Advanced Excel & PowerPoint.
To build a successful career in finance, having a mere degree and a few course certificates arenāt enough. The real competition starts when college ends and thatās the bitter truth.
I got Certified in Financial Modeling & Business Valuations last year while working forĀ Finocontrol, it has been a great experience learning FMBV from basics to advanced corporate level by Eminent Investment Bankers, CFAs, CFOs & NISM professionals.
