People often criticize me by saying why I am trying to earn side income as I am already getting good salary from company.

1) I hv free weekends where I hv nothing to do 😂
2) I hv attached my old home and new under construction home pic where money is flowing like water.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦?

📌 First, consider a brute force solution for any problem. If the time complexity of the brute force approach is n^2, then explore the possibility of an nlogn solution. If the time complexity appears to be exponential, contemplate the use of graph algorithms and dynamic programming, which may lead to a reduction in complexity to nlogn or even n.

📌 If the brute force is O(n), consider a potential O(log(n)) solution. If feasible, utilise bit manipulation or mathematics to optimize it down to O(1).

📌 When aiming to reduce a solution to nlogn or logn, consider the possibility of applying a divide and conquer approach. Create a tree diagram and analyse whether you can divide the data in a way that makes the computation of one part resemble the computation of another part.

One mistake that I made during my preparation was that before thinking about the complexity of the problem, I directly started with the code.

Instead of considering various approaches, and identifying potential edge cases and constraints, I would impulsively jump to the solution.

This mistake cost me a lot of time and got me into a cycle of trial and error, as now I had to solve the problem again and again, and with each iteration I was slowly reaching the optimal solution.

By not taking the time to develop a clear problem-solving strategy, I found myself struggling with the same challenges repeatedly and this made me run out of time during the OA round, and during the interviews most of my time was spent on one DSA question only, making it harder for me to drive the interview towards my strong points.
