It is so exciting to enter Verizon’s next chapter with our industry's newest generation of professionals. We received 49,000 applications for our summer internship program this year and could only accept 1%. We have an intelligent and energetic group this year, and I spent time with them yesterday discussing leadership, career development, time management, our customers and our technology. Here are some items we discussed:

⬆️ Go above and beyond: When you finish a task, ask what project you can jump onto next.
🤝 Expand your network: Take 15 minutes every day to talk to someone new and learn about what they do.
👥 Find collaborators: Surround yourself with positive, supportive peers that you work well with.

These young professionals have joined us at such a transformative time and they are embracing it all. A big shout out to our Talent Acquisition team for ensuring their Verizon experience is filled with learning and opportunity, and thank you Tara Orlando for leading a great discussion! 👏
