The best kind of people are those who put you in a deep thought and make you wonder about your next steps.

Such are these two people: Aman Gupta and Prateek Nijhawan

From visiting a real office for the first time to having an insightful discussion over pizza, the day couldn’t have been better.

From Shark Tank India to memes, and then to boAt Lifestyle’s office, the vibe Aman throws is exactly the same! (even the table has â€œà€—à„‚à€Ą à€”à€Ÿà€‡à€Źà„à€œ à€“à€šà€Čà„€â€ engraved) Only honest, sincere comments mixed with a little humour (because obviously)!

Still thinking about what to do except for Gyaan xD
Thank you for your time and thoughts :)

{ PS- I hope a little bit of fangirling is okay xD}

Yesterday, a founder-friend called me and just said, “Bhai, I think I’m done!”

I didn’t know what to say.

So I asked him what’s going on.

He said:
“We had 14 people last year. Now we’re 3. Even my intern left last week. We haven’t been able to raise. Burn’s tight. I’m wrapping up the office next month. And I can’t even tell my parents because they still think things are going ‘well’.”

He laughed after that –The kind of laugh that comes from months of pretending you’re okay :)

Then he said:

“Bro, everyone’s talking about the India growth story.
LinkedIn is on fire.
Every other post is about funding, scale, IPOs
”

That just sat with me. Because we don’t talk about this part of the journey.

When you’re not thriving.
When you don’t feel like a visionary.
When you’re just
 tired.

No one writes posts when the startup is slowly dying.

When founders are selling desks, cancelling SaaS subscriptions, and telling their last teammate - “I’ll clear your salary, even if I have to borrow.”

We only see the fundraisers. We miss the funerals.

But this is entrepreneurship too.

And just because it didn’t work this time doesn’t mean you didn’t work hard enough.

Hi everyone,

I feel a tornado of emotions as I write this post.

9th January 2023 marked my last day at KPMG India. The journey’s been full of new learnings and experiences. Never thought I’d be able to learn so much in just a handful of months.

Investment Banking (M&A) has been kind enough to welcome me with open arms.

That being said every great ride has to end some day.

Now, what’s next, you ask?
Well, I’m entering back the startup world! My profile’s cover will give you a hint xD

Cheers to a new life and connections!

I asked my dad, “What's better? Smart work or hard work?“

I was clearly expecting a two-word answer. But, what he said changed the way I think about life.

Well, here's what he said-
“We don't really have a choice always. A person has to first work hard enough to become smart enough to know the difference between hard work and smart work.“

Back when PubG, Fifa and Minecraft weren’t a thing..

Crazy how the digitisation has penetrated through pass-time games.

Most kids around me don’t even know what this game is :’)

If you're a college student, this post could be a life-changer for you.

For those who don't know, I completed my B.Com (H) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University in 2022.

Honestly, during my college years I spent a lot of time:
- Looking for internships to fill my resume
- Picking several courses to fill my resume
- Undertaking society positions to fill my resume

All in all, sacrificing genuine exploring & learning time so that I can do the above to fill my resume!

Fun fact - I don't even mention 90% of those things in my resume today. (haha, yes, a lot of months wasted just because I didn't have someone to guide me!)

That's exactly why I don't want anybody else to waste all this time that they could rather use in building, learning or growing something.

So, enough of the rant, what am I planning to do for it? And how can I help you?

Well, I'm planning to create a WhatsApp community of students where I can share all these tips & tricks to ace college life and also answer questions that trouble a lot of you!

What's more? I'll be keep sharing genuine work opportunities and student programmes there :D

So, if you think I should execute this plan and you're interested to join this group, do let me know in the comments & my DMs :)

Waiting for a response from y'all to make this decision :D

See you on the other side!

If you're doing these 5 things in college, you're up for big regrets!

A few days back, I was at Miranda House, University Of Delhi talking to students. One very interesting question came up - “According to you, what should we NOT do in college?“

So, here's the list of what you should not do:

[1] Lie to yourself: Don't say you can't do stuff because you have to study for exams. Everybody knows the truth. Get out there and work your *** off.

[2] Let FOMO rule your life: Yes, it's important to have fun, but don't forget that these years are vv important for you. Prioritise yourself/your career over excessive partying or social media scrolling.

[3] Think you're too young: In this age of rapidly developing technology, you're probably at a more powerful position to build things than a 50 year old businessman.

[4] Be afraid of losing money/failing: This is the time to experiment and fail. Find 10 different ways to make money. Fail. Start again. From selling college merchandise to building start-ups, this is the time to experiment with every idea you have.

[5] Forget to check your email and college website: Haha, it's not exactly the most exciting thing to do, but trust me, missing an important email or college notification can lead to some serious stress. Colleges share a lot of opportunities (from scholarships to competitions) on their websites. Be up-to-date with them.

Anything else you'd like to include?

What’s the one thing I’ll miss about college?

Well, the colours.

Not only the colours of fest Pandals (like the one in the picture) or the colours of a sunset from the SRCC clock tower, but also the colours of humans of SR.

People of different cultures coming together, bringing different cuisines to college every day, and celebrating different festivals with each other.

I’ve written all these wholesome experiences on chits and treasured them in a box made of heart.

Hiring for someone who can scroll LinkedIn on a Sunday ;)

Just kidding. Or am I?

We’re looking for Research Interns who can go to any depth in uncovering an industry not just read the first page of Google :)

If you’re that passionate about Research, drop me an email with research-based insights on the D2C startup ecosystem.

If I learn something new, the job is yours!

The course doesn’t matter. The college doesn’t matter.

All that matters is HOW. DAMN. GOOD. ARE. YOU!

See you on the other side đŸ«Ą
