After nearly 800 days of sinking 1.5 meters per day finally 2 largest diameter shafts in the world have been completed reaching nearly 1,200 meters and connecting with our nearly 120km of tunnelling underground the Gobi desert. This took patience, perseverance and most importantly top notch commitment to safety from our employees and partners at GCR, Worley Parsons. It will enable air ventilation to allow safe underground operations as we ramp up production of copper the world needs.
