I never need to know you will be the last person in the office

I never need to know you are sending emails at 5am

I never need to know every time you step outside to grab a coffee to recharge.

I never need to know every time you have an appointment at lunch and it may run late.

I never need to know if you will be taking a call outside the office.

What I do need is.
Transparency
Passion
Belief in core values
Belief in the mission
Motivation
Teamwork
Trust

It is crazy to me that people in the workplace need to micromanage their staff, creating more autonomy gives way more MOTIVATION. It gives off a level of “we trust you to make good decisions, to do good work, and to impress us with your contribution“

If we restrict that autonomy we take away some of that freedom for people to do their best work, we are basically limiting how much we are inviting them to contribute, so we are going to get less out of them. It’s going to be less rewarding for the organization and for the employee.

If you are a founder who did not go to IIT or BITS

Your startup still will be successful. Trust me.

The reality is if you did not go to an IIT, BITS or Stanford you are already at a disadvantage.

However these tips will help you with your startup journey.

1. Hustle

Hustle is needs to be your bestfriend and the metric you are constantly improving.

2. Network

Reach out to many founders/investors to get advice on what you are building If you can get a warm intro the better. Use LinkedIn/angellist to source.

3. Build momentum

Grow a waitlist, go live with an mvp , get a few users/customers. Keep reaching out for advice.

4. Create content around your painpoint

Be a thought leader in your space and become a know entity. Use platforms like LinkedIn/TikTok to maximize distribution.

5. Maintain relationships

You will fail many times and you will speak to many people but consistently give updates to people who you believe can provide value.

Of course these are just a few high level points

But if you double down on them your startup will have the ability to go from zero to 1.

Bonus tip. Be Shamless. Reach to everyone we are all equal.
