I was truly delighted, truly honored, and truly, truly humbled by the @University of Notre Dame community at their 176th Commencement this year. As a proud Catholic, receiving the Laetare Medal is an experience I will cherish for the rest of my life. “Laetare” means “rejoice,” and it will always serve as a reminder that in the darkest times, there are still reasons to rejoice. Happy Thanksgiving Season! While I am generally intentional about speaking and showing gratitude, this Thanksgiving I'm particularly grateful for family, chosen family, and incredible friends. I love love cooking and entertaining and this year it was incredibly special!

God is good, all of the time and ALL OF THE TIME, God is good! I was blessed last week by the YMCA of Newark and Vicinity, to have a closet named after me in the facility that houses the Youth Emergency Shelter (YES) Program, a program that provides a safe, supervised, and supportive 24-hr residence for youth ages 13-17 who are in crisis. This program was one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds raised from my NJ debut concert at @NJPAC last summer and they decided that the closet was their way of saying 'thank you'. I could not have been more humbled, honored, and thrilled! They developed this closet which houses essential products for the youth as they enter the program. They have thought of everything from - clothes, underwear, shoes, sneakers, to hair products and toiletries. The amazing staff not only meet the physical needs of the teens, but they also strive to meet the mental and psychological needs that they might have. They make sure that the teens know that they are seen and respected, which is something we all need. Thanks to @KevinReed, @Michael Bright
