And honestly? It’s heartbreaking.
Men and women going through deep emotional trauma often believe they are inherently worthless. So, they want to be SEEN. They want to make a lot of money. They are desperately trying to fill a profound emptiness from within.
Little do they know, the neglect and abuse they suffered as children is paving the way to a lifetime of darkness.
Once you put yourself out there to be consumed in this capacity, it changes you. Let's call it what it is. It is prostitution that is being glamorized as "financial independence" and "fame."
In reality, 18 year olds are getting picked up by predatory professionals in the adult industry who couldn't care less if these young people are left permanently traumatized.
As soon as they go on camera, a shift happens. It won't hit right away. But in time, most will inevitably struggle with self hatred, substance abuse, and the heavy shame of selling themselves for validation.
The problem with society today? We have sexualized entertainment so much that empathy and logic have been completely thrown to the side.
Kids who just turned 18 shouldn't be allowed to trade their well being for these platforms. Yet, there is a vast, insatiable demand for this type of entertainment. Which is incredibly telling for how deeply wounded society as a whole truly is.
OnlyFans is a gateway to an even darker realm for many of these young people. You lose a piece of your soul, and then you double down until you don't even care how damaged you get. Because the greed and the illusion of attention pull each victim deeper down the spiral.
A fair warning to anyone who consumes and supports these platforms. You are inadvertently destroying the lives of these young people.
Humanity cannot be forgotten. Empathy must be fought for or we lose ourselves completely in the dark.
