POV: you hit your first $10K month.
5 years ago, I made the biggest decision of my life.

I dropped out of college.

I quit my job at Domino's.

I started a new Twitter account.

I didn't know how, but I told myself "F*ck it, I'm gonna make online business work."

So I obsessively studied those ahead of me...

And shared what I learned with those a few steps behind me.

And after 5 months of consistency, I saw some traction.

I grew my social media a bit and made a few dollars.

Eventually, I went from growing by 5 followers a day, then 20, then 50.

I started understanding social media, so I offered content marketing as a service.

AKA ghostwriting.

I took over people's social media and grew them.

My 1st client: $3,000/month.
My 2nd client: $5,000/month.
My 3rd client: $3,000/month.

Within my 1st month of launching my ghostwriting offer, I was at $11,000/month.

I wish I could say it was all sunshine and rainbows after that, but that's far from true.

I lost my $5,000/month client because I struggled to grow them.

The one $3,000/month client was a pain in the ass to work with, so I dropped them.

So, there I was, with 1 ghostwriting client paying me $3,000/month.

But again, I said, "F*ck it, I'm gonna figure this out."

And after obsessing over my craft, I landed more clients, got great results, and used that in my marketing.

Within a few months I was at $20,000/month with ghostwriting.

Then $30,000.

Then I hit my first $50,000 a month.

And this is one of the biggest mistakes I see with many beginners.

At first, they're motivated to take action...

But quickly get discouraged and quit once challenges arise.

With anything, you can’t expect to piss excellence from the get-go.

You need to adopt the mindset of a scientist.

Try stuff, iterate, experiment.

Eventually, if you're consistent, you'll figure it out.

P.S.

If you love writing and want to turn it into an online business…

The pandemic almost bankrupted his business.

Mike had 1 client left and $4K/month of expenses.

His income was down to $2K/month.

If Mike didn't find a way to make money fast?

He'd need to sell feet pics on Craigslist to pay rent.

When Mike started:

• He struggled to write.
• His content was dog doo doo.
• He knew 0 about ghostwriting.

But Mike turned his stress into drive.

• Soon, Mike landed his first $3K client.
• Then scaled to $11.9K/month.
• Then hit $15K/month.

Mike went from stressing about how to pay rent...

To living in South America, doing what he loves (writing, not Latinas).

I'm proud of Mike for turning his situation around.

But more proud to now call Mike a good friend.

After onboarding 100s of clients, 1 thing surprised me when I asked why they bought.

Many didn't buy because of a sexy website, VSL, or marketing material.

The #1 reason is that they resonate with my story.

I talk about being a fat kid.
I talk about traveling the world.
I talk about my parents' drug addiction.

And the same humor and political incorrectness that gets me hate, is the main thing that gets me sales.

Because there's more competition than ever, but also less connection.

People aren't just investing in your thing.
They're investing their trust (and money) in you.

So, lean into your story and what makes you "weird."

I've spent 10,000+ hours prompting AI.

I made a GPT that makes perfect prompts in 5 seconds (no experience needed).

We use this in my paid ghostwriting program to:

• Write content that sells.
• Create high-converting offers.
• Make voice guides for ghostwriting clients.

Want free access to the AI?

• Like this post
• Comment the word "AI"

I made $150 my first month as a copywriter.

I made $11,000 my first month as a ghostwriter.

People often ask me:
"Should I focus on copywriting or ghostwriting?"

My answer: Learn copywriting → Sell ghostwriting.

The problem when you sell copywriting?

❌ High competition = Hard to charge high prices.
❌ One-time projects = Always needing new clients.

But ghostwriting?

✅ Low competition = Easier to charge high prices.
✅ Constant need for content = Steady income.

Copywriting is like a short-term fling.
↳ Fun, but always looking for the next one.

Ghostwriting is like a long-term relationship.
↳ Consistent, secure, and compounds.

Because I combined my copywriting skills with social media ghostwriting, I scaled to $50K/month.

Same skills → Different business model.

College prepared us for a world that no longer exists.

58% of recent grads struggle to find jobs.

And in a world where AI will replace 100s of millions of jobs, this number will only grow.

But instead of getting replaced by AI, you can replace your income with AI.

All while:

• Working remotely.
• Working on what you enjoy.
• Working on your own schedule.

This carousel breaks down the business we've used to quit our jobs and make $958,000+ online.

McKinsey says ~600,000,000 could lose their jobs to AI.

How to build a $10K/mo AI business instead:

AI can make geniuses jobless and idiots millionaires.

I've helped my clients scale to $10K-$91K/month without:

• A big following.
• A 4-year degree.
• Past business experience.

All by taking advantage of AI.

HR said they're firing me.

Why? 3 LinkedIn posts I made last week...

A few 50-year-old Karens didn't like my sense of humor.

They complained about my LinkedIn posts talking about:

• Improperly using pronouns.
• Not revealing my big man boobz.
• Metaphors of f̶a̶t̶ big-boned trainers.

But before HR could fire me, I realized...

I'm the head of HR because I run my own business (reverse Uno card activated).

But jokes aside, that's why I started ghostwriting.

Freedom.

• I don't trade my personality for paycheck.
• I don't need to ask for permission to pee.
• I don't live life on other people’s terms.

And after being free for 5 years now, I can say:

Firing myself was one of the best decisions I ever made.

P.S.

If you wanna be Karen-proof and build your own business (even while working your job)...

I'm hosting a free live masterclass showing our AI ghostwriting business.

This Wednesday, I'll show you:

• How to get your 1st client.
• How to use AI to create content.
• How to get started with AI ghostwriting.

Our ghostwriting business will $300K+ this year.
Here's how we do ~60% of it with AI:
1. Interview Your Client

1-2 times per month, interview your client for 1-hour.

Ask them about their:

• Story.
• Lifestyle.
• Expert advice.

This gives you all the content you need for the next step.

2. Create Your Ghostwriting Guide

Use Fathom AI to transcribe the interview into text.

Then upload it to AI and get it to analyze your client’s:

• Wording.
• Tonality.
• Style.

Then prompt AI to turn it into a ghostwriting style guide PDF.

3. Get Your Client To “Write” For You

This is where the magic happens…

• Create content templates.
• Upload the interview transcript to a new AI chat.
• Tell the AI to turn the interview into content using the templates.

Interviews + Frameworks + AI = Most of the work done.

P.S.

Most writers fall into 1 of 2 categories:

1) They use AI to write everything.
2) They never use AI to write.

So which is right? Neither.

Here's why:

If you use  AI to write everything...
Your writing blends in with all the other AI content.

If you never use AI to write...
Your writing is inefficient and can't compete.

So WTF do you do?

Use AI to assist, not outsource.

AI writes the first draft.
↳ You rewrite it in your voice.

AI generates 10 hooks.
↳ You pick one and make it better.

AI organizes your messy thoughts.
↳ You add the personality.

AI handles research and structure.
↳ You handle the storytelling.

The goal isn't to replace your brain.

It's to free up your brain for the parts that actually matter.

AI wrote the 2nd part of this post btw ;)
