5 years ago, I made the biggest decision of my life.
I dropped out of college.
I quit my job at Domino's.
I started a new Twitter account.
I didn't know how, but I told myself "F*ck it, I'm gonna make online business work."
So I obsessively studied those ahead of me...
And shared what I learned with those a few steps behind me.
And after 5 months of consistency, I saw some traction.
I grew my social media a bit and made a few dollars.
Eventually, I went from growing by 5 followers a day, then 20, then 50.
I started understanding social media, so I offered content marketing as a service.
AKA ghostwriting.
I took over people's social media and grew them.
My 1st client: $3,000/month.
My 2nd client: $5,000/month.
My 3rd client: $3,000/month.
Within my 1st month of launching my ghostwriting offer, I was at $11,000/month.
I wish I could say it was all sunshine and rainbows after that, but that's far from true.
I lost my $5,000/month client because I struggled to grow them.
The one $3,000/month client was a pain in the ass to work with, so I dropped them.
So, there I was, with 1 ghostwriting client paying me $3,000/month.
But again, I said, "F*ck it, I'm gonna figure this out."
And after obsessing over my craft, I landed more clients, got great results, and used that in my marketing.
Within a few months I was at $20,000/month with ghostwriting.
Then $30,000.
Then I hit my first $50,000 a month.
And this is one of the biggest mistakes I see with many beginners.
At first, they're motivated to take action...
But quickly get discouraged and quit once challenges arise.
With anything, you can’t expect to piss excellence from the get-go.
You need to adopt the mindset of a scientist.
Try stuff, iterate, experiment.
Eventually, if you're consistent, you'll figure it out.
P.S.
If you love writing and want to turn it into an online business…
