My journey from Sales & Supply Chain to Employer Brand taught me one invaluable lesson; the importance of networking. When working in those roles, I made it a priority to expand my business acumen into other careers I was interested in. I was looking to fill a creative gap, which led to me focusing on gaining knowledge in marketing, social media, and employer reputation. The way I went about this was not only setting up weekly coffee chats, but shadowing teams on projects they led. This gave me a better understanding of work outside my role and led to stretch assignments I later used as interview examples.
